PFA MOTS award - a cakewalk for Brendan Rodgers?
#1
The short list has finally been drawn up with guys like Jim Duffy and Derek Mcinnes on it. However, Rodgers must be a certainty to pick up this award with an imminent domestic 'treble' being achieved and that unbeaten record is just as impressive! Sure, the manager has a huge budget and there is no 'level playing field' in Scottish footie wrt player budgets, transfers etc but there's no doubting his huge management ability in transforming this Hoops side to be such a formidable one.

No contest this year. A likely domestic treble, unbeaten through the whole season domestically and reaching the group stages of the Champions League - there surely can be no other winner. I would normally suggest that other managers sometimes do better than the manager of the league winners, particularly like you say with the disparity in budgets in Scotland, but not this season.

He hasn't made that many changes to Celtic. That shows you what a decent coach can do. I have to say as well that he speaks very well about the game and always tries to big up our game.

I predict he will head south again when the right club calls,he's a very good manager.

I have no doubt he will go back to the PL at some point, that is unfinished business for him I would imagine!! His reputation in the PL was certainly damaged by his inability to build on the good 13-14 season at Liverpool so going to Celtic seems to have been a good decision on his behalf. It will be interesting to see what level of PL club eventually come calling.

Exactly. Celtic are a huge club, easily as big as Liverpool but at the end of the day they are a big fish in a small pond.

He could totally transform a club like west ham for instance if they matched his ambition.

Don't count yer chickens
Who won it last year ??
Manager of the year for season 2015/16 Mark Warbuton who did exactly the same as Neil Lennon did this season, did lennon get a nomination this year? If not what's the difference?
Between them Lennon and Deilia won 5 titles and 2 doubles and not a sniff at it
Discrimination??
sectarianism??
why??

This is the PFA award edgie and I'd say he is a certainty to win it but I expect the 'other awards' to be the same.

I was quoting from the PFA awards
It started in 2006 with Strachan
since then celtic have won 8 titles (not including this one)
4 league cups and 3 Scottish cups
but manager of the year twice

in the same time Celtic won the Football writers one on 4 occasions
lennon twice

funnily
