It's sadly what I'd call a 'big minority' edgie and we've witnessed their 'crass, unacceptable form' many times in the past in the likes of Manchester, London, Newcastle, Barcelona and closer to home - Glesca and other Scottish cities. I've said in previous blogs/OPs that the number of victims/casualties is one of the biggest cover ups of modern times in Scotland although these details can be found if you look hard enough with the likes of Nil by Mouth being one source of info but there are others. We live in 21st century Scotland and yet we still observe this 'dinosaur culture' that has been tolerated and 'swept under the carpet' for years by not applying more stringent rules, such as strict liability, on the offending footie club itself and, more importantly, applying tough measures when required and where it hurts.

Strict liability will never happen, because the Glasgow clubs would face the biggest sanctions.

Its swept under the carpet correct, because we have always had a "media" that was of the same ilk.
No one wanted to be the first to raise it and be blackballed.
Look at how the BBC and other media organisation's are viewed and treated by rangers, for the crime of being factual.
exactly as Trump is doing now in the states.
Secondly we have an establishment that still view those of Irish Catholic as second class citizens
See what happened when Lennon was attacked at tinier, the guy got off with it, only 16 thousand witness including me in the ground and 16 cameras and a bias jury http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-ed...e-14732110

Jim as to strict liability for clubs its not just the Glasgow clubs who would get fined
personally I cant see Celtic being done we tend not to sing nasty songs now

Celtic sing plenty of nasty songs, and songs that shouldn't be anywhere near a fitba ground. Maybe it wouldn't just be the Glasgow clubs, but you would be the most cited, that's just undeniable.

Celtic have their numpties for sure, but I've never felt unsafe going to their ground. Ibrox now is really putting yourself at risk for hibs fans, the police don't give a xxxx either. Not a chance I will be going back after last time.

Jim the Police and relative security people at Ibronx allowed misdemeanours such as pie and missile throwing for years n years without any recourse. I can remember confronting a Police match commander who threatened to have me arrested ('for what' I asked???) until I produced my own official ID card and pointed out the complaint was valid and a civil one without any threat whatsoever! The c### backed off 'big time' but one could detect that they were 'part of the problem' and were not proactive enough in identifying and dealing with the serial offenders who infect this stadium esp the ones who are closer to away fans.

Yup,police and stewards doing nothing while hibs fans were attacked in and outside the stadium. Our bus was also hit on the way out.

xxxx that mate,I'm too long in the tooth for that. Since the huns went bust they have went totally mental. God help Neil Lennon when he goes back there.

Celtic 4 Saint Johnstone 1 and the Hoops' unbeaten run continues undeterred in a match that saw no Celtic goals scored by any front line strikers but an impressive score all the same.

Was very very impressed with the 2 young boys
Johnston in particular
Nice to see 3 young players from Lennoxtown starting and McGregor and Forrest coming on. So 5 home grown players + Griffiths, Gordon and Armstrong.

as a Tim I'm very happy at the football and our production line of scots coming through from the academy
The future is bright, With the young players coming through we don't have to spend as much, so 3 excellent players that can improve the first team for our European adventure.
Centre half
Holding Mid
Striker
and if Roberts goes another winger

Aye, some more poss youth successes coming out of Lennoxtown and I wonder how significant Rodgers' personal involvement has been in Celtic's youth dev ops?
