Pulis is a known admirer and could make a renewed effort to sign Terry after inquiring about the Chelsea captain's availability in January.

"If he becomes available in the summer we’ll sit down and have a little think about what we’ve got and what we haven’t got and we’ll take it from there," Pulis said last month.

"I’ve always thought he was a good player.

"I was just finding out what the situation was (in January) and then it was whether we moved on it or whether we didn’t."

Well, it would be funny, but at £20m it would be a tad astonishing too.
