Getting there, parking, pubs, dining etc.
All in here - Footballgroundguide
Some excellent pubs in the city if you get there soon enough or are making a weekend of it.
Fresh from our excellent Wednesday night win on the telly v Norwich, Town head down the M1 to the City of Notting-Ham for another match that will be broadcast worldwide, except in the UK unless you subscribe to a certain Betting Website that apprently takes bets 365 days of the year. You can find out where else here -Town on the Telly
The City Ground isn't one that holds too many problems for Town, though we have had the occassional hammering, we're as likely to come away with the points or a draw as we are to lose based on past history.
My opinion on Forest
Forest is a club that has been in turmoil for a few seasons now and current Chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi isn't apparently helping. One minute apparently willing to invest in players, the next pulling in the purse strings and hiring and firing managers at a rate that puts him up their with the basket case up the A62. He's been looking to sell the club for a while but everytime it seems set to go through, the deal collapses. It seems he wants to retain some interest in the club for reasons that are baffling to most Forest fans.
I walked away from our win against them at ours earlier this season and said that was the worst Forest side I've ever seen. Old Cloughie would have been spinning in his grave at that performance. Currently sitting 20th and only 2 points above Blackurn, they didn't even get the new manager bounce that sometimes comes when a change is made. Mark Warburton has come in, after his rather strange departure from Rangers to take over from Philippe Montanier, but it would appear you can talk to The Trees all you want but it seems this lot Just Don't Want to Know.
Now the politically correct answer is that what goes on in the boardroom shouldn't affect what goes on on the pitch. Well, sorry but football is no different from any other business, if the guy at the top and others around him are generating an unacceptable atmosphere then folk won't work at their best. They might be paid relativley fantastic money but they are human and if they don't know where they stand they aren't going to be happy bunnies. We saw a good example of the way Fawaz works when we thought we had a deal in place to buy Jamie Paterson after his loan spell finished but he stalled and baulked and eventually Paterson joined Bristol late in the transfer window.
One's to watch (if they play)

Leading scorer with 10 goals, needs a tight rein keeping on him if Forest break into the box

Bought from Bolton for around £2.5 million, not as prolific for Forest yet as in his Bolton days.
Ross McCormack

If he can be bothered to get out of bed and turn up for training once in a while, he has a habit of scoring against us. Loves it when Town fans try to wind him up due to his past at our noisey neighbours. Wasn't in the squad against Wolves.
Whose gonna play?
Well these were the last line-ups
We know Wagbo likes to rotate so don't be surprised at who he puts out
Current form
Forest have only 4 wins in their last 15 games and only one in their last 6. That was six games ago when they beat Brighton 3-0 at home.
Of course, it was February 2016 when a certain tall young Danish man with a curly mop of black hair announced to the football world that he meant business.
Video quality not great but it is what it is
He's due another anytime soon after shaving the post against Norwich on Wednesday.
Current table
Elsewhere in the League
They can't both win
This weekends fixtures throws up the following games of interest at our end of the division
L666s v PNE
Norwich v Reading
Wendies v Newcastle
Top half fixtures
Town are 10 points behind Newcastle and 9 behind Brighton so realistically we are looking to cement our play-off position and maybe hope one of the top 2 drop a number of points. Having said that I doubt we'll win every game to the end of the season. Villa and Brentford are 9 and 10 points below Wendies and probably by the same argument are realistically looking to improve next season. However here are the remaining fixtures for the top 12 so you can do your own analysis. Our game in hand at Wolves is no longer the seeming banker it once was as they have won their last 5, however their leading scorer just got injured.
In some rather sad news I read while writing this thread that the wife or former Forest legend Trevor Francis died of cancer this week. May our thoughts be with you.
Right over to you lot.
A guide to cask ale.
