It was Allen not Carson that made the budget comment but why not blame Carson ,you do for everything else .
I did actually think it was another foot in the mouth comment by DA considering he would have no idea what the season ticket sales would be. . I think you'll be surprised (or probably disappointed ) with the season tickets I think they will hold up better then you think especially if we have a decent end to the season.

If DA wanted us to have a big budget ....... I suppose we could. Whether that would even be a good thing I don't know. We are already in a hole, is more digging strongly recommended?
Like Matt I think it'll be youth players, frees and perhaps discoveries. (If Branston is the man he talks up, not the centre back I saw on the field, that is.)
Pooch, I imagine Dancing blames Carson for most things now because he now appears to be DA's puppet. My only argument with that position would be that he's pitching at an Aunt Sally as I did over Chris Turner and you do all the time about Danny.
There's always someone else to deflect the blame for Mr Allen. He has made us whatever we are and that includes both the good and bad. I can't guess his motive for this season's debacle, but he's clearly been the controlling influence. And now apparently he's selling the club and simultaneously commenting on next season's budget. Those two positions don't fit well do they? It's like trying to make sense of the machinations of a Trump or a Putin. If I were Mr Carson I wouldn't know whether the honourable thing was to do would be to battle through for the club and its fans, or walk away before I went mad and/or got into something discreditable/criminal.
If Carson were a good man, how the hell could we possibly tell? He looks good in a suit, but as Ken Livingstone would tell you lots of xxxx looked good in their uniform. Good god this system edits out the word N*A*Z*I, they were/are a historical fact. What a world. Snowflake generation creating an avalanche ....

Blue, if it makes you feel better I blame Dave Allen for everything. I just happen to believe Carson is a liar and that's a provable fact. Dave Allen on the other hand is a very rich and clever man. He specialises in surrounding himself with a protective shield of dumb egotists who just love their moment in the spotlight. Turner took a lot of flack for him and Carson saw an opening and was in like Flynn.
Dave Allen and his family have done very well out of CFC and by the time he has done with us we wont have a pot to piss in and he will move on a few million richer.
Nothing has gone on at CFC that DA hasn't controlled. It now transpires that although Chris Turner was Chief Exec he had no budget and couldn't even sign cheques. I know where the buck stops and Carson is just his latest puppet.

Dancing you seem to be stating a lot of apparent facts by using terms like "it transpires"and id like to know if it really is fact or opinion ?, if it is fact then i bow to your superior knowledge .

Blue, there are not many things that I get to know about the inner rumblings of the club. However, in business I meet some unusual people who come out with the odd gem when they find out who I support. People who have no association with the club whatsoever but seem to know how it has been run.

I must say that at this very long range Dancing's description of the Allen era seems to fit. My fear is he might eventually out-Oyston Oyston. We wouldn't have had the good things that happened without him and his money, but when you examine all our downs they also seem to be the result of decisions deliberately made by the club.
And someone always carries the can whose name isn't Allen.
For instance, it is simply incomprehensible that a man with Danny's football experience would want to be in charge of a club with no scouting system ........ he's managed a thousand games for several clubs, if that was his approach he wouldn't have managed twenty with one club would he?
My deepest fear is that it is very hard to see how the Allens could escape Chesterfield a few million richer IF the club is still to be alive and in the EFL after his departure. Allen is the whole story and appropriately the key. If we beat Port Vale 2-1 tomorrow, start a winning run and Gary Caldwell is set to hit the ground running next season that WILL BECOME irrelevant if Mr Allen decides it is ......... The Ernie Moss Way could for us, like him, be a journey into silence.
The only bright spot I can find is that Gary Caldwell took on the Wigan job when it was impossible and failed to save them from relegation from the Championship. With the club's ambition and money behind them he got them up first go. He's repeated the first part with us, taken a job in which he was set up to fail. If/when he fails the second part of his examination next season it won't be adequate simply to blame the manager. Maybe then we'll see the light.
