Well at least we won against Rotherham, although yet again the performance was poor. Carlos actually tried something different, going with a narrow diamond in midfield, Jones at the base, Wallace & Bannan the 2 CM and Hooper at the top just behind Fletch & Rhodes. Definitely something to try again (hopefully) with different personnel in certain positions, FF at the top of the diamond with Hutch at the base.

So the Geordies come to town with us looking to do the double over them after probably our best performance of the season when we won 1-0 at Newcastle on Boxing Day. Newcastle are just about up, with just 6 games to go and 8 pts clear of 3rd place while we are back in the final play off spot. If we stay there is debateable with several teams chasing that final playoff spot

After trying something different against Rotherham, I expect Carlos to go back to our predictable 442 formation.

While the performance was poor on Tuesday, that is what you would expect from a team on a poor run and missing several players..... I wouldn't expect any different. It's hard to see that win turning things around thou especially as we are faced with Newcastle....we needed someone like Wigan next to get 2 wins on the bounce and create some momentum again.....at this rate it will be very stop start and if we make the playoffs or not is anyone's guess....

Anyone any word on the injury front ?
