Goal Fest at the Proact

Kakay has a good future I hope we sign him next season but doubt if he would drop down to league 2.
Ron Mihaly used to play with my brother at school I think ,Ive seen him knocking about in town think hes a councillor.Did he play many games for QPR Dev ?.
There are a lot of decisions to be made for Caldwell at the end of the season ,if we have a good ending he will be tempted to keep some of the out of contract players but my guess is he will get rid of most and make a clean sweep .

I don't think Ron Mihaly got a game for QPR. He was a v.good centre back, very ruthless, very skilled but not quick enough AND was definitely not a workaholic so I don't think he was at QPR long. He signed for Chesterfield, don't think he played, slipped into local football and didn't look bovvvered (at which he excelled; had a very disdainful face). He was also a genuinely dangerous, difficult bowler at cricket. Fast off as short a run up as he could get away with. Wasn't much for running wasn't RON. A councillor! I always liked him. His year's team at the Grammar School had him, Geoff Miller, England cricketer in goal, and Stuart Woolgar who went to West Brom' full of hope, later turned Chesterfield down for Donny, but slipped out of the game. Stuart's younger brother Mick was the real talent in my opinion, very clever, scored goals for fun, became a successful businessman early in life and died tragically young in a terrible hotel fire in India.

Fraid I'm older than Cllr Mihaly, being older than a councillor makes you sound genuinely old somehow.

Dev, German scored 4 yesterday. What chance has he got of making the first team? If he scored 10 Caldwell would probably put him on the bench and leave him there.

I just think German is the real deal. How anyone can think playing SEB who didn't put in a shift until his contract alarm went off is more fruitful than giving Ricky a go is beyond me.

SEB is scoring dont knock it .

If Caldwell did ever play German he'd probably play him in goal.

Yeah SEB's return is unquestionable - closing in on double figures over two seasons and with two clubs .......... and how far up our wage bill is he? Top three?

No reason to knock him. Short-term and long-term memory are pretty shot-at.

Up to the last few weeks I felt sorry for him. I thought it was sad such a talented player had lost his way. Now this massively increased work-rate appears ........ Look in your pocket Pooch, the guy's been pissing in there! Look at the league table, where might we have been?

Well there are two ways of looking at it .Either he has suddenly improved because his contract is up .Or ,Caldwell has unlocked the player in him that has been missing for 4 seasons.
Only he really knows at the moment.and the only way we will know is if he is here next season playing for Caldwell.

Under four (or even five, taking the caretaker at Shrewsbury) different managers he has been moderate to poor for two seasons. At Preston previously he was on the bench and chubby.

Suddenly his contract alarm has gone off and he's all over the field! IMO he is as much a disgrace as Leicester City's non-triers.

Give him a contract next season and you'll get the same old same old. He didn't even put it in for his old boss Deano who went out of his way to get him a good contract. No wonder despite his ability he hasn't a stack of medals to his name, he's made himself into a loser with talent.

And he's finally found a team bad enough for him to look good for a few weeks, due to DA and GC ....... IMO.

I notice Ricky German wasn't with Ritchie's young reserves today. Does that mean seven goals in two games has convinced GC he might be good enough to sit on a bench and watch against Rochdale? Wouldn't any normal team, which has only had one game in its last twelve where it has looked likely to score, think maybe now is the time to give a young lad a run? You know, like while he's feeling confident?
