WBA to Set Up Academy In China !!!
#1
Exclamation
So a Pre -Season tour of China rumored for this summer .....
And now news that we are to set up a academy in China,

At first glance this looks to be a fast moving and lucrative time for team Albion ...

I would like to know fellow Baggies thoughts on this as the opportunity to put Albion on the world stage is gathering pace,

Or should we be a bit careful here ?
Setting up a academy in China is this a good thing ? or are we being used to develop Chinese talent and being used as a plaything here,

I don't know for sure that's why i'm putting out there for you guys,
The report says sponsorship could bring more money into the club and with big partnerships involved in the new academy maybe a move with a view into more investment from these partners with our already Billionaire owner ...
Thoughts ?

We are trying to play catch up with Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City. They have world money behind them, they have begged stole and borrowed their way to dominance and then got the rules changed to prevent clubs using new money to challenge them. If we can get any early foot into developing markets and economies, China, India, for example, a massive, pretty much untapped market for new fans and merchandising, then maybe we can get new income to help us compete with the FA's elite gentlemen's club.

It could back fire and we might just be funding a new bigger, more dominant league overseas but you have to speculate to accumulate .... we might just level the playing field.
