Huddersfield Town welcome Aston Villa to the John Smith's Stadium on Tuesday night, hoping for more luck with the crucial refereeing decisions than they had on Saturday in the 3-1 defeat at home to league leaders Newcastle Utd.
Town have injury doubts hanging over keeper Danny Ward and the in form Phillip Billing. Crucially perhaps though, we will have our inspirational leader, David Wagner back on the touchline after we lost both of the matches when he was sat in the stand following his totally unjustified two match ban.
Villa come here on the back of a 2-0 win at bottom side Rotherham, courtesy of an own goal and a last minute effort from Jonathan Kodjia. This was only their third away victory of the campaign though and they are the division's lowest scorers away from home so far this season, only scoring ten goals from eighteen matches.
They too have injury problems. Birkir Bjarnason and Jack Grealish have both been ruled out after Saturday's game and Scott Hogan and Andre Green are still doubtful after missing the trip to the New York. Gabriel Agbonlahor and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy are also out. Leandro Bacuna is suspended.
A brief history of Aston Villa: They are one of only two clubs in the Championship who can genuinely claim to be called Champions of Europe (Forest being the other), after they won the European Cup in 1982, with a goal from Peter Withe beating Bayern Munich 1-0.
They were formed in 1874 and by 1887 they had won the FA Cup. The following year they were one of the 12 founding members of the Football League and were the most successful club of the Victorian era, winning five league titles and three FA Cups before old Queen Vic popped her clogs in 1901. In 1897 they moved into Villa Park.
Not much silverware followed with just another FA Cup win in 1920 (beating us 1-0) before they were relegated to division 2 in 1936.
After the war they rebuilt and won the FA Cup again in 1957 and then became the first winners of the League Cup in 1961. But things were soon to get worse. Relegated again to division 2 in 1967, they went down to division 3 at the end of the 69/70 season, the year Town won promotion to the First Division. So yes, the following season, we were two leagues higher than the mighty Aston Villa. Could this possibly happen again this time around?
The slump wasn't permanent though and by 1975 they were back in the top flight, as we were dropping like a stone in the other direction. They won the League Cup twice, beating Norwich 1-0 in 1975 and then Everton in 1977 in one of the most memorable Finals of the League Cup's existence. Back then, replays were used for drawn matches and after a 0-0 draw at Wembley the teams replayed at Hillsborough and once again drew, this time 1-1. So onto a second replay (can you imagine how modern footballers would whine about having a 2nd replay?), this time at Old Trafford. Brian Little and Chris Nicholl scored for Villa as the match once more went to extra time. Then in the dying seconds as the match headed for a third replay, up stepped Little to score a dramatic winner.
Ron Saunders was the manager now and he took them to the 1st division title in 1980/81, but surprisingly quit halfway through the next campaign and so it was Tony Barton who led them to the aforementioned European glory. They followed that up by beating Barcelona in the final of the European Super Cup, but that was the end of their glory years and relegation followed soon after in 1987.
Straight back up though the year after and the runners up spot the year after that, under the leadership of the recently deceased Graham Taylor.
Since then they've won the League Cup twice, beating Man Utd 3-1 in 1994 and then Leeds 3-0 in 96, but that's their last trophy, despite reaching Wembley Finals three times since.
Last season they were relegated.

Villa lead in the overall head to head with 31 wins to Town's 20, with 20 draws.
As mentioned above, our first meeting with Aston Villa came in the FA Cup Final of 1920. This was the season that Town nearly folded after Leeds United had tried unsuccessfully to steal our club in an MK Dons style takeover. It looked like we were going under earlier in the season, but by the end of it we had won promotion and reached the Cup Final. The dream didn't have a happy ending there though as Villa beat us 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. Billy Kirton scored the winner in extra time and the Villa team was captained by future Town legend, Clem Stephenson.
They knocked us out of the Cup the following season but we got our first league victory over them when Jack Swann scored in a 1-0 win at Leeds Road. We got our Cup revenge in 1930 at the quarter final stage, (2-1, with goals from Billy Smith and Alex Jackson) on route to the famous Zeppelin over Wembley Final against Arsenal.
Matches against Villa happened all the time back then, but since 1973 we've only had one more season in the same division up until now. That was in our disastrous relegation season of 87/88 when in a 1-1 draw at Villa Park, Duncan Shearer became the last Town player to score against the Villa until Michael Hefele did so with his magic arse back in August.

So what's new at the Villa Park?
Managed nowadays by Steve Bruce, a fat geordie lad who once managed Huddersfield Town.
Notable players in their squad:- Jonathan Kodjia, scored three goals against us last season as a Bristol City player. One at the John Smith's and two at Ashton Gate.
He was born in France but represents Ivory Coast at International level. Came to Bristol City in 2015 scoring on his debut at Brentford's Griffin Park.
He scored 20 goals in his first season there before being transferred to Villa for the ridiculous sum of £15m and has scored 10 goals for them in 24 Championship matches so far.
There are others in their squad who have given us grief in the past. Scott Hogan scored twice for Brentford in our poor end to last season. Henri Lansbury has scored on three occasions against us for Forest. Albert Adomah scored for Middlesbrough at the JSS.
One player, still injured but familiar to Town fans, is Jed Steer who played 38 times in goal for us last season.
