Well that was a fun first half

Think we annoyed them by scoring first. Looked at their set up and thought, hmm, they are going for it this time. They did. Playing OK though when we get on the ball.

think we peaked too early, what a start caught them cold, cool finish or I think it was, next to back row of top tier microscopic Bunn stuck it away superbly and we were in dreamland. Last time Junior Sloppy arranges the tickets, I did stress dont let them sell you level 3 I wanted Level 2 .
Sadly after that we panicked, we couldnt keep the ball, passes astray their quick pass n move caught us. I thought Lollley was awful capped off by missing that header, H-D at left back nowhere near the pace, silly bookings, silly penalty by Sticks, poor handling by Coleman at times, his first real test in all his appearances this season might re-align and temper everyones view on him.
But whether it was 3-5-7 as long as it wasnt 10 I wasnt that bothered, I didnt expect anything. I have my train tickets for Brentford so I didnt fancy a trip to North Yorkshire week saturday.
The support up top was good, the home fans silent, a lot drifting away from 80 mins to beat the rush.
Saturday and Tuesday is all we should focus on now, the cup run has been good and given us further press and praise and hopefully a few $$ along the way.

Scoreline was probably just about right, Harry Bunn sent us into dreamland with that early goal but the warning signs were out even before that when City struck the post. No complaints about the penalty, even from Row AA in the gods I didn't have any complaints and having just watched it back I still don't. Yes the 5th goal was offside but who cares.
The reserves did us proud
Bloody nightmare getting out of the Car Park, our MiniBus was outside the ground in the Carpark opposite turnstile L1 and even though we were on board and ready to go they wouldn't let us move until everybody had left the ground. Journey back to the M60 from there.....ages and ages.

Everyone pretty much said what I felt. In the heat of the moment I was so annoyed at us continually gifting possession and suicidal backpasses but we panicked which is understandable. Quaner had his best game in a town shirt bar his miss. All of them this will be massive for in the long-term. 5-1 I thought was cruel but they had hit the post twice but we should have scored twice as well. Minute I saw that front four I thought we'll all the hope I had is gone now ha.

Random thoughts from last night:-
Coleman will never be a good goalie with his kicking skills....even Joe Hart kicks better than him. His overall play was shocking also.
THD to blame for a couple of goals....and he should have had a penalty awarded against him for a blatant handball.
Hudson ok.
Stankovic looked good for the most part, but did foul Aguero for the penalty.
Crainie well off the pace.
Billing was outstanding. Best player for us by a mile. We lost 5-1, he was subbed mid 2nd half, and he still got man of the match by Shearer. A lot of people will sit up and take notice of him now.
Payne worked hard all night. Was ok but should have scored at end of 1st half to make it 3-2.
Bunn scored our goal but really it was a bad goalkeeping error. Played ok for the most part.
Whitehead did ok.
Lolley was utter garbage. Lost the ball every time he had it last night. Should have scored with an easy header.
Quaner was excellent. Ran Billing close for mom. He has some excellent touches and works really hard for the team. Looks like he is an excellent buy for us.
Our fans were heard on the telly box all night long singing. Never heard the Citeh fans except for when the goals went in.
Overall proud of our reserves against one of the most expensive teams ever assembled. DeBruyne £40M, Sterling £49M, Aguero £20M, Sane £30M etc etc.
It wouldn't have been a surprise if the game had ended 10-4.
