Love him or loathe him, surely nobody can question his ability to the best out the squad he has. A playing record of W 10 D 5 and lost just 1 (Bournemouth) against teams outside the top 7 speaks for itself.
Has Foster ever played better in his career? Surely he is in line for England if he keeps this up? Craig Dawson was almost sold for £3m to Burnley 3 years back now he is an ever-present and an accomplished wing- and centre-back. I felt Nyom was something of a carthorse at first but he has recently turned in several MOTM performances. It appears he valued his place in the team above that of playing for Cameroon recently. Macauley is the Duracell bunny of the team continuing to perform long after his peers, Terry and Distin, have put their feet up.
Brunt and Morrison are playing some of the best football of their careers and are true club stalwarts. Despite a discernible recent drop in form Fletcher has been a fantastic signing as has his cohort Evans.
Yacob has been a revelation under Pulis but, on the strength of Livermore's performance yesterday has a fight on his hands to get back in the team. I feel sorry for Mclean who, too, is playing very well. You can tell he is busting a gut to get his place back but the competition is as fierce as it has ever been in our time in the PL.
I can't get too exercised about Rondon's lack of goals. He continues to run the hard miles that enable the midfielders to get upfield and as long as someone gets the goals, who cares where they come from?
Chadli is the lone disappointment at the moment having temporarily lost some form. However we have seen what he can do and his day will come.
All in all, great times at the club.

A good article Alouion and I have posted on another thread that Pulis will face a difficult team selection next week if Evans becomes fit and available and Yacob is over his stomach issues. Who drops out or who stays.

I thought in the first half yesterday, Chadli seemed approaching back to his best with some great skilful touches and the assist in Mozza's goal. The class is certainly there and he does link well with Morrison.

West Ham will be a tough test as they seem to be clicking now with 'My Little Pony' banging them in but hopefully GMac will dampen his aerial prowess and Evans, if fit, subdue him on the ground.

Interesting.....

Nice post and sentiments, Alouioun.
The only points I'd take issue with are Chadli - think he's class and is allowed a temporary blip after his injury& op ......and GMac .....HAS been a Duracell Bunny but even those batteries eventually run out!
But agree that,  a couple of months after he looked doomed,  Mr Manwairing,  TP has turned it right round, and now is producing good results AND very watchable football!   Thumb up  Thumb up

Chadli was much better yesterday than he's been for a long while, and I'm confident he'll return to form. Just needs a goal from somewhere to put this winter behind him and restore his confidence.

....this comment isn't made in an aggressive way - honest - but how do all you anti Pulis folk now think? I understand that we're not yet playing 'pure' football but we're getting results and are now decent to watch; is TP still the anti Christ of football to you?

Okay, I am very much a member of the anti pulis brigade, or should I say I was. I have to admit there has been a major turn around and I am starting to warm to him. Yes I would still like to see a baggies team in the mould of the great team of the late seventies, but they were probably a once in a lifetime group of players. But for now TP is doing a good job, there's a buzz around the ground again, the squad seem happy and willing to put a shift in and that must come from the manager.

This current side to my mind is like nothing we have seen before from Pulis , it's certainly not Stoke and it's a bit different from Palace.
At the start it was very 6 defenders , set pieces etc, but he only had the tools to work with.
So now to me anyway it seems to be somewhere in between Stoke and the Palace team he kept up a few Years back,
As of yet we don't quite match the pace they had THEN,
But hey after evolution who knows Rolleyes
While i knew he could get points i didn't think he could get a side like us playing with a swagger like we haven't seen for years at the Albion.
Maybe he needed time, maybe we as a supporters lacked patience ,
Long may it continue, With backing in the summer maybe a trip to Wembley may not be out of the question Whistle

Drewks, your question is a very fair one. I've been very unhappy with Pulis and have said so on the board but that was solely down to the style of football he was playing, that it was unbelievably negative. I had nothing against the guy himself, who I've always found a pretty honest breath of fresh air in his interviews. However, I'll happily acknowledge the change in the style of play and that this is down to him. I give him every credit for this and would be the first to say that his management of the Baggies has benefitted the club enormously. So, I'm delighted he's managing us and I'll eat humble pie as a result Rolleyes
