Brown Ideye becomes the first Albion player to score a winner against Stoke at the Hawthorns since Scott Dobie; 14th March 2015

We begin February on 33 points, just a win or two away from effectively securing our safety for the season, and with ample opportunity to do so this Saturday with the visit of Stoke to the Hawthorns. Of course, the main talking point will almost certainly be whether or not Mark Hughes will choose to throw newly-signed Saido in at the deep end in this match, but away from that particular soap opera, there's every chance that Albion will be able to extend our current unbeaten record against the Potters to an unprecedented five matches in a row.

There are a few cracks in the side which haven't been adequately filled or even papered over in this transfer window, but perhaps we have our own secret weapon to deploy: what a time it'd be to see a Marc Wilson hat-trick...

Saido played twenty odd minutes last night, missed a good chance, apparently showing signs of being rusty ..... Albion being Albion we know what will happen Saturday. Not looking forward to it.

You can be sure Saido will be trying, if he plays, to score against us. Though its strange Hughes thought he was fit enough to play last night and had a header cleared off the line, whereas JP thought he was unfit to play at all.

Who can define fitness?

Only played a bit part and the sky sports bod said he looked rusty so maybe Olson can cope with him.

I felt we were unlucky not to take all 3 points against Boro but we'll continue our solid home form on Saturday.

2-1 Albion is my prediction.

If it's a choice between Jonas Olsson and Marc Wilson then it's obvious. Stoke will be difficult and dangerous and we need everyone focused.

Saido had a header cleared off the line? Where was he aiming it, the corner flag?

Wonder if Sjoke will name Drugo Biryani in their line-up after the revelations that he's a crackhead.....
If they do, can you imagine the stick he will get from the Brummie and Smethwick. It would have been bad anyway but, after this, its going to double and deservedly so.

What a terrible example he has set for today's youngsters.
