Another away match for Hibs and a case of 'lets consolidate our top position'! We're playing on another testy artificial pitch but we're arriving in Dumfries after a recent goalfest at Tynecastle - let them worry about that goal threat! Lenny has a few team line up permutations that he could opt for but he'll surely choose players who are comfortable on an artificial surface!
I'll opt for this Hibs team:-
Laidlaw
Gray McGregor Fonts Stevo
Bartley
Humphrey/McGinn Shinnie MGeouch
Cummings Keatings
IMO field the guys who have recently scored goals in a goalfest and lets see where it takes us! C'mon Hibs and enhance our top league position!

Queens are picking up a bit,so I'm expecting a tough match. I'd play boyle and Humphrey in the wide areas, cant see us risking Dylan on that surface so fyvie is likely to start too. I'd go with Cummings and keatings up front as well as much as I like big holt he has cut a frustrated figure at times of late.
I think utd play the pars and raith next up and I fancy them to drop points in one of them. So if we can get wins v queens and ayr we could be in a very good position going into February.

Well i was wrong about the width, lennon left them both on the bench and we went for a narrow 4-4-2 instead. It did the trick though and we totally dominated the game and defended well. A lot of chances passed up though with shinnie and cummings being the main culprits but the manager seems to have found the right blend to help us see these games out now.
With our goal difference we basically have a 9 point advantage now and if we beat ayr we will have a 11 point lead before utd play again. They have raith, morton, falkirk and qots up next so now is the time to force home our advantage. Mckinnon asked who could handle the pressure best weeks ago..... and at the moment it looks like us.

Some potentially 'bad news' all the same Jim. It looks like Paul Hanlon could be out for the season! There's a strong rumour his pelvic injury needs an op and that'll be the end of his season. I pray this info is inaccurate and he can pick up where he left off - in fine defensive form! It leaves Lenny a bit 'thin on the ground' in central defence if confirmed to be true.

Yep! I agree with that view newhavenhibby although I'd rather have the option of Hanlon's experience and good form being available for us TBF! Still, we've just gotta get on with it unless Lenny decides to bring in additional cover before the Jan 'window' closes. A Gunnarson return or similar?

Lennon seemed pretty relaxed about transfers,i think he is happy enough with what we have....but i think the 'door is open' for commons if we can sort something out.
