So we once again engage the Village, this time at Hillsborough, in a "rivalry" that stretches back to the pub league in terms of the football and one that goes back to the old BBC 606 forum in terms of the banter.  Since then we gained promotion together, have both managed to consolidate in the Championship and both moved to first New606 and then onto here from a fans perspective!!  In the 10 meetings since we got to know each other we definitely have the upper hand with a record of W4 D4 L2 and this fixture has been a pivotal one in terms of shaping somewhat our seasons.

But this season its maybe different.  Their new manager seems to have changed the way they play and as a consequence they will present a completely different proposition than they have in previous years.  I haven't seen them play at all this season but I think they play a more pressing game and try to play on the ground.  Still even though this is a tough game, it has been a decent fixture for us so there is no reason why we cannot keep that going.

Last seasons home fixture saw us come from 1-0 down to score three goals in the last 12 minutes, that will do nicely again please!!!

Do we have any new injuries, I haven't heard of any so apart from the perennial injured players we should be at full strength.  Hooper may be back but I think it will be on the bench. So once again it comes down to CC's team and formation selection.  I assume he will likely go 442 but he may also go 451 and have Forestieri as the floating midfielder. Here is my team:

Play like we have in recent weeks and we have feffed it Town will score given the chances that wolves preston and the rest couldnt over the xmas period . we have to be patient with that attacking sting , let them have the ball possession means you lose the game now hit them on the break hard with Fessi and hope like feff his new vows to us will help him remember that he needs to bulge the back of the net and not the side netting

Drop poodle for Reach is a must as we are already weak on onside with palmer and hunt so we will at least have to prop up the other And lets face it Reach has been shit upfront and plays better attacking football from left back

Drop wallace for mccmannamnnnmmn again wallace has been awful and we cant afford missed chances 3 meters infront of goal anymore

and give winnall his spot on the bench for one of the planks

The rest is how you where we dont have any other options unless Abdi Matiass or Hooper are fit


Win the game and we keep ourselfs in the race for a miracle Automatic spot ( and i say this because the Geordies have been sussed out away from home ) lose and its over and it will also give hope to about 5 teams behind us and the last thing we want is chasing one spot for the playoffs against that bent nose twat bruce draw and we will get through it although the crowd wont be very happy but we cant be inpatient and get sucker punched and lose either
