Payne got man of the match, fair enough. But there were many others the award could've gone to.
I thought Whitehead was outstanding today and he was my choice. Stankovic had his best game in a Town shirt. His pass to Palmer for the chance he lobbed over the bar was brilliant.
Coleman looked good. Not much to do but commanded his area well. Came for a couple of high balls on the edge of the area which I don't think Wardy would've attempted.
THD played well, linking up well with the exciting new boy, IzzyWizzy. He had a good game too.
Glad to see Bunn score a cracking goal and the cupped ear celebration, nice.

Port Vale looked like a lower end of League One team, the type of which we often have struggled against before, but not this lot.

Who next? Anybody. We fear no one.

No sound on this, but shows a good idea of how one sided the match was. In particular the 4th goal was superb. Match of the Day called it a simple tap in for Jack Payne. If you watch this, you see it's an absolutely brilliant goal from the Barcelona of West Yorkshire, a team goal started by the goalkeeper and passed all the way into the net.

This has Oggy's commentary on, but just shows the goals.

One thing I don't understand is the low crowd. Yes, 11,000 would've been good for this time last year, but this is the best team we've had in years. Tickets cost only a tenner.
Why would you not want to be there?

The draw is at 7pm tonight on BBC2.
Who do we want?
Not sure if I want a big team now, or just get a lower league team and hopefully progress further.
Nah i'll take the big team now. Man Utd would be brilliant. We've not played them in a long long time. Spurs also.

I'll be pissed off if we get a championship club. Lets stick with the small clubs for a little bit longer. Get further into the competition, get more moneyand who knows?

I'd rather get the big game now. Glory or bust. We win, great. We lose, concentrate on the league.
I don't want somebody like Fulham away or Millwall. No glory and probably lose.

why not a wycombe, wimbledon/sutton at home?

Why not? Get through to the next round. My meaning is that we don't want to get too far behind with the league fixtures. But then again, Wagz has shown he is expert at squad rotating and could easily cope with a midweek fixture up until the end of the season.
