Hibs v Dundee Utd, Fri 6 Jan, KO 7.45pm

Hibs have managed to secure a top position at Falkirk thus rendering this upcoming Friday night fixture as a 'crunch match' v United and it looks like the team could well be strengthened by the addition of Rocky, John McGinn (what a quick healer!) and Chris Humphrey - what good timing!! Lets try to do what we should've done recently at Tannadice - win this match and push on for the title with various absent players gradually 'returning to the fold' and bolstering our 1st team squad! C'mon Hibs and 'grab this opportunity' in front of a big Hibs support that will recognise the significance of this confrontation as well!

Spot on mate. I think if we can win this the pressure shifts very much to Utd,our key players and strengthened squad should be coming together in January while they face some hard games.

Hibs ticket allocation almost sold out - it's looking good and here's hoping Hibs match up to the 'script' and 'do the biz' in front of a big, expectant Hibs support! Thumb up

Just reading the story on HFC site and there's going to be around 1000 empty seats in the away end due to the segregation HFC have put in place surely there been a miss calculation in numbers for dundee utd tickets.

Not sure but the way I think it's worked out they got 1000 tickets then a further 900 tickets which would fill the bottom section then gave them another 600 so they must be going in the upper tier.

Surely it would have been better splitting the stand in half then selling more tickets to hibs fans.

Correct bounce. Anyway a good crowd, and I cant Wait to knock off work have a few pints and cheer the team on.

Mcginn might make the bench apparently. Parker was putting him through his paces at training the day!

I agree with that conclusion but you know what this is really about - it's a security issue and the Police don't want any opposition fans close by in an upper tier within the same stand! Maybe these same people could've advised the Hampden footie organisers preceding our successful Scottish Cup final last May and some of the shit from bad-losing upper tier Huns would never have happened in the South Stand!!

Agree 100% 0762. But I remember Leanne Dempster saying a few months back she would love as many hibs fans in the ground a poss.

Think HFC have missed out here but lesson learned hopefully if this ever arises again.

Hibs 2-0 up and in control. Jason Cummings has scored twice and could have had another two. For all that, Marvin Bartley is my Man Of The Half. Never dives in until absolutely sure of his ground and is at the forefront in breaking up United attacks. More of the same in the second half, please.
