Andy Murray - what a true legend!
Brilliant. Greg Rusedski says he's our greatest sportsman, certainly of our generation.
Can't disagree Greg.

Andy wins the bbc SPOTY award for a record 3rd time, an odds on favourite for a long time but it's still one massive achievement - Murray's legendary status enhanced even more for all time!! Thumb up A knighthood to follow from the 'purring queen' in the new year? I wonder if it will be the case when one considers that he had the audacity to suggest that Scotland becomes an independent nation in 2014! Perhaps 'all is forgotten' and the people's vote will swing that royal gong his way - an award that he would certainly not refuse but I'd admire him even more if he 'bucked the trend' and refused it anyway because he does not need that form of recognition anyway!! He's earned that respect and 'done it the hard way'!

Reading an interesting EEN article re Hibs having a discreet dialogue re Andy's future intentions and whether an involvement in Hibs football operations could be a possibility. I'm wondering if, as suggested in one of my previous threads, he decides to place a substantial investment in the club and bolsters the percentage of fan ownership in HFC. A case of 'watch this space'!

He has recently, openly said that he would like to have a future involvement in football, once he gives up the tennis. Pretty obvious that involvement will be with Hibs - good on him for that

Yeah looks likely he will be involved with the club in some way going forward., probably as 0762 says - in some form of share purchase.

IMO it will potentially be a major coup depending on how much ownership he'd prefer - could he take over STF's stake in the club because he can certainly afford to do it if it appeals to him.
