This away match is one of those potential 'banana skins' for Hibs and I'm just hoping that the players register another win and we don't see Dundee United 'leapfrogging' above us in this title race - it's imperative that we hold the top Championship position during this festive period!
What will be Lenny's line up? Bearing in mind our injury situation, I reckon it will be similar to this one:-

Laidlaw
Gray McGregor Hanlon Stevo
Fontaine Bartley
Fyvie/Holt Shinnie Martin
Graham Cummings

IMO our goalie situation is 'dodgy' but Morton were beaten in their last match at East End Park and I hope this is the start of a bad run of results for them following a fairly positive period from the start of the season. C'mon the Hibs!

Another tough game for us especially with a diminishing midfield and still no one who can cross a ball. Hoping Keatings will get on as he at least can hit a dead ball.

'mon Hibs

Yeah HFC are in for a hard 90 mins at Morton they've got a decent record there but HFC should have enough to come through this I'm not bothered about the performance with so many players out for me its all about getting the 3 points.

Again HFC will have a large travelling support with Marathonbet supplying 11 buses free of charge lets roar the team to victory

Kris Commons playing in a mid position tomorrow if, as expected, he comes in under an emergency loan arrangement? Apparently been putting in 'serious shifts' for weeks in preparation for a Jan move to Hibs. So should be match fit and we'll have a quality fresh player who is 'raring to go'! This move definitely 'stirs the imagination'! Thumb up

Think the fans will love commons. He's a class player.

This move was a stick on since Rodgers arrived, commons and Lennon are like brothers. No way will he be coming to hibs to "take it easy"

I expect him to bring goals and savvy to our midfield. Finally someone who can hit a ball!!

Awful the night. Without Dylan and fyvie we play too much long ball stuff with graham and Boyle struggling to make any effect up top. Neither can hold the ball. Commons played 2 or three magnificent passes but other than that made little impact. Cummings dug us out of a hole the night with that free kick.

Back top on goal difference, but big improvement needed....and please Neil get some pace into that midfield/wide area. We play it at walking pace.

I regard this 1-1 draw as the equivalent of a Hibs win tonight TBH! It looked like we were about to be 'done' in the last quarter of a match like this one but Jason's strike was sublime from that direct free kick! Thumb up Commons just needs games and he'll deliver better games than this one which was a typical pre Xmas 'damp squib' with a poor, erratic refereeing performance by Steven McLean to match up to it! I've previously commented that Boyle should not be starting games and must say I can't figure why Lenny is not observing the same failings as we are! Rolleyes

Correct the only plus point tonight was Jason's cracking goal. Morton have never lost at cappielow this season so no suprise to get a draw we had a couple of chances in the ame but at least we're still top.

A few hard games coming up in the next few weeks but good to see Keatings on the bench tonight another weeks training will set him up to get on as a sub over the Xmas period hopefully scoring a few goals along the way.

I agree about Boyle not starting the game I think after Janos goal tonight Neil Lennon will go back to Jason & Holt up top for us

I agree that Jason will start next week. The thing with a player like him is that he is always likely to produce something special when least expected. At times he can be frustrating but he does have something which means he is worth playing especially now that NL seems to have cut out the diving .

Again apart from Jasons goal there is not much to say about last nights game......seems to be a theme of late where our actual performance and so our entertainment level has been dire. Bar a missed penalty at Raith by DU, we are still fortunate to be top of the table. However we are still there and really must start getting a raised performance as we have to keep our position ahead of DU as I'd rather we did this than fall behind them and try to rely on January signings and expecting players to hit the ground running after injury, to play catch up.

Too early to say much about Commons but after a full week training with the rest of the squad we hopefully will see the best of him.

So on to Raith and hopefully 3 points.......however they are going well and it will be another battle..........
