Salo only the second Premier League player ever to score a hat-trick of headers. Absolute beast!

For the first half that match was more or less what I feared it might be, and it was nervier than it should have been towards the end with us having an impromptu Festival of Dodgy Passes, but the job got done, and that's the crucial thing. We can now have a stab at Man Utd with a bit of confidence behind us, because they barely scraped a win tonight, and Zlatan aside, they're nowt special at the moment.

What happened to Johnny Evans ?

We were without Daws and Evans and still won Big Grin

Nyom what a find, he is becoming a cult figure down at the shrine,

One negative ............

Jonas is Bambi on Ice, terrible game, can't surely play again barring emergencies Whistle

Nice to hear "Da Doo Ron-don" at the end.
I was his biggest critic till well past last New Year. I said he'd look average in the Championship but, although it took him a season to settle in, he deserves lots of respect right now, and I'm thrilled 'cos he seems a nice humble bloke, as well.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Well done Baggies and Salomon - he could have had 5 if it wasn't for Fabianski.  Alan Shearer was singing his praises on MOTD which was nice to see. Three cracking headers from cracking crosses.

Question is, can we keep it up against Man Ure on Saturday and do we bring back Daws, revert Nyom to leftback and drop Olsson.

yep
And hopefully Evans will be fit Thumb up

STATS !!!!!!

Rondon has scored 16 goals in the Premier League since the start of last season - 11 more than any other Baggies player. (James Morrison is on five).
The striker's hat-trick was also the quickest by a Baggies player in the Premier League (13 minutes), overtaking the record set by Rob Earnshaw in March 2005 against Charlton (16 minutes).
Chris Brunt - who assisted twice in this game - has 42 Premier League assists for West Brom, 19 more than any other player for the club.
The Baggies have scored 10 goals in their last three home Premier League games - more than they managed in their previous 10 games at the Hawthorns in the competition (8).

Thought we looked lethargic first half - obviously Sunday's hard fought game was taking its toll. Second half better. Great goals from RONDON! Team generally played ok but Olsson was very poor - a real liability at times. Also Gardner was poor. Tony should have put Leko on to run at a tiring defence instead of Gardner. Onwards and upwards. Bring on Man Ure! Boing Boing!

Olsson is done at this level, unfortunately. Great servant to the club over eight years and more, and it would have been nice to see him make the full ten like Brunty and Mozza will, but he's just not a Premier League footballer anymore.

However, on a more positive note it's great to see Allan Nyom continuing from strength to strength (should Pulis keep him on the right and Brunty on the left for another few games and see how it works out?) and Chadli, although he didn't have the impact I'd have liked, is still proving himself a massive improvement on Sessegnon. That dummy on the touchline in the first half was sublime.

Hope we can continue to use Rondon's aerial threat in future; it's a side of the game we often seem to neglect in open play. Odemwingie was never big on headed goals, nor was Lukaku or Berahino, although Shane Long did score a few. If Clark and Astle were still around, I think the sight of that hat-trick would have taken them right back.

Have to agree Ska'd. Olsson, although a wonderful servant to our great club, is now no longer able to cut it at the top level. Nyom on the other hand goes from strength to strength. Will be interesting to see what happens on Saturday. Another two goals from open play last night! This is another positive! No longer totally dependent on set piece play!
