The UK economy hasn't gone anywhere yet, its just a recalculation based on the value of the pound. The prices will go up though, although with every currency adjustment the prices will go up or down on imports and exports depending on which way the currency goes.

Thing is though that british people have grown accustomed to very low food prices,in part thanks to EU membership. Just wait til inflation goes up (which it will) and people start to find it harder to service loans and mortgages....then they start gradually spending less elsewhere. And that's yer slowdown in a nutshell.
The tories keep very quiet about their giveaways to big business and those earning more than 150k. The anti-establishment vote of brexit is going to be used to produce a new form of austerity which will make the establishment richer and stronger. That's what you get when you read between the lines.
I notice davis is now saying he wants us to stay in the single market, which is wise as 45% of our market is there. We should never be leaving it in the first place, but as soon as we sign art50 we are out and unless you accept the 4 freedoms we wont be getting back in.

Major has come out and supported him today. I'm no fan of him or blair but at least someone is trying to show some leadership from within this farce.
I just think that now its becoming very clear that brexit is just going to cost the country way too much money.Already the pound is greatly devalued and will drop even further when article 50 is set in motion.Job and educational prospects will be reduced under Brexit. The IFS has stated that wages will suffer the worst stagnation in over 70 years with brexit (so it clearly cant be migrant workers fault).
And all the money we save on the block grant wont be going to the NHS,it will be pissed away organising trade deals that wont be better than what we have and lets be honest an access payment to the EEA but we wont have any influence at all around the table and it will prove more costly. Meanwhile may and her pack of jokers clearly do not have a scoobie what to do here and are weakening our position daily. And of course we were net beneficiaries of the EU !!!!! something that was distorted and lied about by the brexit clowns during the referendum.
I just struggle to see any tangible benefit. And I think a lot of people are starting to see it that way.
