The annoying thing is, when you attack City they look very vulnerable.

To quote the radio ' leko looks a quality player, full of pace and skill the defenders are frightened to tackle him'
That's the last time he plays then!!!

Exactly, Baggietrousers, guarantee you next week at Leicester, we'll be back to Fletcher & Yacob, with probably Gardiner replacing MacLean, who's suspended. Listening to the game on the radio, the lift that the team and crowd got when Leko came on was palpable. The last two City goals were pretty inevitable and you can excuse that but what if I find unforgivable is that we have to go two down and be completely outplayed for Pulis to become more positive and attacking. It was the same at Liverpool; is it not plainly obvious that his initial tactics are not working because we always concede? If the opposition score one, nothing changes; if they score two, then he thinks that maybe something needs to be different. By then it's usually too late because we don't have the quality of player to provide the spark of creativity or inspiration that will turn a game.
I'm sure it sounds like I'm always morning so i genuinely apologise for that. I just want us to be positive.

Hats off for the "we've got the ball...we've lost the ball" chant today, genuinely the highlight of a very boring game from my perspective.

Predictable set up, predictable performance, predictable result. Players played out of position, no ambition until the game's effectively over.....same as usual. Things won't change until Pulis is gone.

Fletcher needs to be dropped. Morrison needs to play. I wonder what Pulis will do? Can he let go of the crutch of two out and out defensive midfielders. For such a well-drilled defence we seem to need a lot of cover in-front. Perhaps if we played a few players who can pass to a teammate we would not need so much cover?

Good point. Mowbray's team played tiki-taka, which many Baggies disliked while other fans applauded. Not only does it allow you to probe for an opening in the opponents' defence, but it gives the back 4/5 a breather. Currently we breathe a sigh of relief when we manage to get the ball upfield; but it comes straight back because I don't think we practice passing during the week!

Mowbray should have stayed with us. He's failed everywhere else, but I'd have his style of 8 years ago any time.
