It's not a case of both having to be right. Now that the dust has settled and the media circus - The Rhetoric if you will - has calmed down, we can see clear as day what went on. It's obvious that club chairmen kow-towed to raving fans groups, and it's obvious that the whole EBT case wasn't worthy of the scrutiny and damaging consequences demanded by so many. The whole case is basically just a matter of a dispuite over the amount of tax due.

Now, I have no idea what made King say those things back in 2012, he certainly wasn't qualified to do so. He obviously didn't know enough to understand the relevance of EBTs as a tax avoidance scheme - perhaps his own mind was occupied with certain tax affairs further afield at the time.

His apology to the authorities means nothing - he wasn't anything to do with it.

People like Fred are still wanting to hate Rangers. That won't change, it's ingrained in him. It's worthwhile challenging his idiotic views though, especially if he makes it so easy by ignoring simple common truths.
