HTFC P4P's Season 2023-2024
#81
In a season where we've now drawn 18 games and we almost always draw 1-1 at home to Brum, it was no surprise when we did it again yesterday.

It did at least raise another £5-fer for the pot.

ritchie and myself got £1 for the draw, I got another £1 for the goal. Healey scoring added £1 to AmChaff and jjamez'z totals.

I'll add any bonus £'s after we totally confirm the inevitable next weekend. I don't see us winning 0-10 in Tractor Land and Plymouth losing 6-0. Even if it was 5-0 and points, goals and everything else was then equal, they would stay up because they beat us 3-1 when we played in Colin's back yard and we drew 1-1 at ours, so they are better on the Head-2-Head rule, if it applies.

There's no player's bus booked for next weekend apparently - think they might be dropping a hint? Whistle

Hundred and twenty-five quid's not a bad outcome from such a dismal season. Here's hoping Hoggy comes back for the Ipswich game and scores a hat trick. Whistle

You had all 3 of yours bar Hoggy on the pitch at the end Snoots. I might be wrong but I think the first time of the season, certainly recently. Not sure Bojangles got much of a kick let alone a shot on target.

Well the season ended as a bit of a damp squib and Town were no better than I was in the prediction league either. More blanks all round. Doh

I've added ritchie and jjamez's bonus £'s and rounded mine up so I can split it £12 each. Top punditry his season by ritchie whilst AmChaff has again ensured the moths in Snoot's wallet will get another good airing. Smartass Thanks and well done all. £138 and counting. Thumb up

I'll look back in by the weekend to see if there's anyone else wanting to add some hard earned corn to their total and I'll put the links up. I might even have found where those Foundation Admins want us to park our brass these days. They pestered the hell out of me until the end of October and I've not heard a squeak out of them since.

Have a Good Bank Holiday folks!

Not bad, seeing how bad we've been. Hope for more success next season.

Well done, theo. And thanks to everyone who's taken part.

If you're carrying on the excellent work next season, theo, put me down for the same goalscorers and reverse bonus plus points won against the 3 Rs - Reading, Rotherham and Rexham. Rolleyes I'm telling you now in case I forget later on during the bowling season.

Well I sent an email to the stroppy so and so at the Town Foundation that I've not heard from in months about where we should send donations to The Foundation this season. The lack of response has been deafening. So I looked on the website a few minutes ago - guess where they want us to donate?

https://www.htafcfoundation.com/

Scroll down a page or two.

No wonder she's not replied, if she's still there. Penny-Wise-Pound-Foolish might be her online name.

I'll sort this out tomorrow morning folks after my Full English, the weather is too beerutiful to make a mullock of everything at this stage.

Mandy Taylor was the driving force for the Foundation but they obviously haven't brought in anyone who can do the sake.

If they say nothing why not pick another charity like the one for Stewart or any other that's close to the heart of anyone on here?
