There's no way it will be anything other than championship football next season. Its playoffs and failure to go up.
Don't be under any illusions that we will competitive either next year. It will be a struggle with an inexperienced squad or has beens. And don't be surprised if bilic is first to go.

I was disappointed to see Austin in tears after the game, its by no means all over but that act will give others faith that you guys have given up!!!

This season isn't over yet, this is the Championship and it never goes out without a fight somewhere!!

Completely agree about most that you say SCO; however Austin having a lil tear could /should be interpreted as showing g how much he/they care, therefore how determined he/they will be to put it right (he says, maybe clutching at straws!).
I've got to say that Ajayi was possibly the only one who showed real fight and desire.

BUT.... all's not lost.
Yet!!

Now look, I love you guys, and genuinely West Brom are one of my favourite teams. But I hate Charlie Austin with a passion and it was bloody brilliant to see him in tears, the fricking arseoil.
He kicked Jonas Lossl deliberately in the face when he was at Southampton, then took a dive to win a penalty and mocked our fans when he tucked it away. So what goes around comes around.  Whistle  Confused  Rolleyes  Blush  Sick  Angry  Big Grin  Tongue  Cool

He can by all means cry buckets on the pitch at Wembley if you lose the PO Final, but it not over yet and this is the time for a rallying cry not a tearful cry!!!! A player with his experience should be all about motivating the rest of the team until the fat lady is halfway through the first verse!!!

I would like to formally apologise to you all.

I have come to the conclusion that I have created a imaginary world contained exclusively within the boundaries of my own mind. Central to this notion is a fictitious football team who promise great things and then time after time stumble at the last and easiest hurdle converting certain glorious achievement into unbelievable pain and embarrassing defeat. It’s highly probable that it is my mind that creates these cataclysmic failures as a safety measure should the excitement of victory cause me to wake from whatever sleep, coma or paralysis I am actually in.

In the same vein I apologise for England’s performances in international competitions, the UK’s recent track record in the Eurovision Song Contest, COVID-19, Brexit, and the current Tory government, all of which are so mind-bogglingly unbelievable that I must have also made them up.

So a big big ‘sorry’.

But then again I’m not sure why I’m apologising because you clearly also don’t exist and all must be part of this pretend world that I have invented. (Except for Beefy of course because even my mind is not weird enough to make him up!)

Wrong team again tonight then at half time Bilic takes off the only midfielder we have with any physicality instead of Sawyers who was shocking tonight and has been the last 20 games or so.
The GK still can't command his six Yard box, and why play HRK and Phillips in the starting XL
I said it on another thread 22 goals our three strikers have mustered between them this season
Brentfords three ? 56
How we didn't deal with this in January is mind boggling.
We won't go up via the playoffs we bottle most big games it's the norm now
The Perriear transfer is interesting to watch,
If we have a agreement we need to keep to and purchase he will be sold in the winter window as quick as his boots touch the floor to recoup all the money back.
JPs mid table championship team may become a thing of the norm now !!!

Simply I'm stuck with being a baggies fan. I am tired of us buying players. I want, sorry I demand our youngsters are given a chance. Not a seat on the bench a permanent place in the first team.

Just watched the game again (masochistic) and I have to say that most of that team were an absolute disgrace. But for me the biggest con man out there was Sawyers, who, as beefy has already pointed out, has been rubbish for at least the last 20 games. What does he have on Bilic to keep getting picked.
As for HRK, Phillip's, Gibbs and our non existent forwards they should be ashamed. Any normal person performing, or not performing in their case, that badly would be sacked.
However, the real problem must come from the top and Bilic's contribution to this clusterf##k can not be underestimated. He may well have the support of the 'in bilic we trust' brigade, but maybe he is not the new messiah.
