Andy drawn v Serbia's Victor Troitsky in the Rio Olympics tourney and what a favourable draw as Troitsky has never beaten him and he's now located in the bottom half of the draw away from Djokovic and Nadal - it looks promising for another charge to the final! Thumb up

Andy reaches the 2nd round, no bother, and sensation - Novak eliminated in the 1st round by Del Potro!!!! What a huge bonus for Andy although one disappointment has been the Murray bros elimination in the Olympic men's doubles.

Murray through to the semi-final after an epic battling effort v Steve Johnson (USA) who played well until that decisive tie breaker: 0-6 6-4 6-7. This man seems to find the right answers in adversity!! Great stuff!

The UK Olympics flag bearer delivers again v a formidable Del Potro - final result 6-2 4-6 7-5 in an epic >4 hour match. Not at his best with a poor 1st service success rate, Andy battled through this match v an opponent who never gave up and a good-natured but vociferous Argie crowd. What a match! What a hero! A legend personified and I've got a wad of money coming in after betting on a 'hunch' that our greatest Scottish sportsman was gonna win a second Olympic gold medal. Well done!
