Apparently we've agreed £1.2m for Alfie May from Birmingham.

The Alfie May thing baffles me. He didn’t come last year, he went to Brum for more money and in the mean time we paid good money for Charles and Taylor…not mention Ladapo and his contract.

So why would we buy Alfie May now? He signed a big fat contract with Brum that can only mean one of 3 things
1 He takes a pay cut to join us
2 We pay him what Brum do
3 Brum make the shortfall up from what we are offering.

Any which way you want to look at it, I think that ship has sailed and faith has to be put in Taylor to do the job we hoped Alfie would at the start of last summer.

Luton still have Prima Donna Parachute payments to play with. They'll go a lot further for player spending in this division than in The Chumpionship. If you think they skew the Chumpionship at tad .... well, other than when Town got them.

Now all you have to hope that he's still a £1million player on the pitch. I always liked Dion Charles to the point of often telling daft Spireites that he was the best value available when he was a Non-Leaguer with very few even sniffing around. And Freddie Ladapo has caused problems for defences for everybody he played for ...... except Huddersfield. With Alfie May too you OUGHT to be a threat to anybody. IF.
