That's what I can't understand, am I to believe it is hard to replace Nuhiu & Helan? Or, even expensive for that matter? They're that good are they?

For me, recruitment has been neither great nor poor. Just absolutely average. And a tad unambitious.

The reason I'm feeling this way, is down to DC's statement of intent last season. He set the bar high, yet I see us just casually jogging towards the finish line. I believe it's going to take something exceptional from this group of players to achieve said goal.
After coming so close last season I expected players like Nuhiu & Helan to have been phased out with players of higher calibre brought in. And that wouldn't take much let's be honest. Yet there they are.

We might need a Director of Football. Some of the issues regarding players are comical for an 'ambitious' Club. That's just my opinion, though I'm not alone.

My very thoughts Stateside. I'm glad you said them though. Whistle Whistle

I would say there are about 15-16 players I trust to do a job. I wouldn't want Helan or Nuhiu having to have a long run in the team. If we have to play McGugan, Bus or Melo then we are well and truly F*****!

Exactly! It is a thin squad again this year, for me. I really hope we don't suffer injuries.

As much as we love him, Semedo is a liability at times. So we extended his contract too like Nuhiu Whistle

And short term loans aren't allowed anymore if we do have an injury crisis.

Great article which might give a hint as to why Wednesday might benefit compared to other teams with the restrictions on loans this season.

Hey, how come we've let a Canadian go to the Blades?

Seriously, after Lavery's remarks and now this, I have to ask. What on earth is happening at the Club?

Seems the Agent has more questions to answer. From the clubs point of view they would have been happy with a season long loan with maybe a chance to sell next summer.

Maybe the club who wanted him didn't want a permanent transfer, that's why they went with the season long loan. Why would the agent push for a permanent deal when season long loan deal has been agreed with all parties seemingly happy with that? His client (Dielna) would be away from Hillsboro and I would assume have the chance to play first team football which is what he would want.

Could well be. Not sure why he'd do that though? As you say it scuppers any chance at decent football now.

Bus, Mcgugan and Dielna training with and playing with the development squad isn't great. I doubt they're rubbing off on the youngsters in a positive manner.
