But he no more than cuffed Yacob who maybe justifiably fell through momentum, but he was not pole axed and he milked it.

If that was against us we'd be complaining like mad.

I hate the way players feign injury and use this as a weapon against other teams.

Not sure if its just me - but I get the feeling a few more yellow cards are being issued for diving now - its about bloody time.

Regarding your last point Stairs, what is your view of the two Jamie Vardy penalty incidents yesterday (one given, the other denied)? I thought both were simulation, albeit having the benefit of watching replays. He is very clever at flicking his legs up and in between the tacklers legs but I thought neither were penalties. Difficult for a referee because he is so quick over the ground.
I thought the first one (given) was not a penalty as the player got the ball. But on MoTD last night there was a suggestion that at the same time he was taking the ball he was also taking out the other leg. Couldn't be bothered to look at it again last night and so stick with no penalty.

The second incident looked like a typical tangle with no intent etc and so I think, again, no penalty.

Sorry Stairs not looking for a row but i gotta stick with my initial thoughts on this. You cannot grab a bloke by the head no matter how soft it appears. Above the neck tackles are a total no no in rugby which is a much tougher contact sport and the reason is simple.... you can break someones neck! If a person was to suddenly change direction or start sprinting just as you grab the head....? Honestly mate we'd be saying how stupid was our player for doing summit like that so red card all day long IMO ;-)

But he didn't grab him; it was, at most, an open-handed clip with the palm. A definite red card by the rules of the game, but Yacob milked it massively to get the ref's attention.

I agreed with the red card - but it was soft and Yacob over played it

Mark Hughes stated they 'may appeal' the Red Card decision......................................Good Luck with that sparky, it'll never get overturned and be a little more graceful in defeat.

You cannot strike a players head however hard or soft - it's a red card offence - end of, unless we introduce 'strikeometers' and have a cut off point of how hard you are allowed to slap, punch or kick an opponent.

There is no defence.

Loved Mark Hughes as a player, but as a manager he's a whining, blinkered twot who can never accept that he, or his team, can ever do anything wrong. It's always someone else's fault.

Thought it would be. Lots of handbags and over playing injury for me. Glad we got 3pts. Not unhappy the red is rescinded
