I don't think the injuries to the other defenders helped. He was shifted from one position to another every game.

I believe its agents that cause all the issues, they tell rank average players that they are worth the world and they believe it and act like it.
Not saying Spencer was rank average, but he was caught wanting in the champ and wasnt any better than average. Could he be, possibly yeah but he needs to sort a lot of things in his game first

Experience and better coaches will do him the world of good. Not sure Oxford is the place to go though. The Northern Ireland commentators were saying he should be looking towards bottom end of Premier League or top end of the Championship for a move.

When you're at a club where the management, and by that I mean Directors, show they can't run a piss-up in one of the club bars, let alone a brewery, on a daily basis, why would anybody want to be there.
Most fans only see what is on the pitch. They see a lack of pride and application/ability and of course they're going to rail at the players and the head coach/manager. I'm pretty sure many on here have worked for folk that really don't care about you, but make all the right noises in the boardroom. In some cases I agree it's agents looking to line their own pockets, I don't think it is this time. It starts with Kevin the Gerbil. He don't impress me much.
