Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general
They always sell you the 'idea' that the new rules are of benefit to all and necessary requirements in the interests of fairness..
Same thing the government do politically when theyre gradually eroding your civil liberties. The same beating stick works everywhere.

The FA, FIFA, UEFA PGMOL. All of these bodies are corrupt to the core.
Firstly selling us the idea of FFP and then tweaking it to only be of benefit for the elite few...
I wonder where we've seen this capitalistic business model before? Doh

Its really ridiculous how blatant these officials are becoming with their match influencing.
We had it on day one with Leicester. Most of us saw he was offside but the lino and ref? Nothing. Same lino and ref that caught every single soft foul comitted by Wednesday though, eh...
Its frankly unmissable at this point. You have to be a special kind of ignorant to be oblivious.

Looks like manure are going to appeal against Grimsby for playing an ineligible player. Zippy can't believe his luck !

I saw that. Id be embarrassed as a Manure fan.
Appealing against Grimsby after being knocked out of shitty energy drink cup is worse than the actual loss in my opinion.

Take the L and shuffle off quietly.

Happy birthday to us 158 years old and still the most successful club in Yorkshire and quite frankly the way the rules are fixed I can't see Leeds ever winning a trophy again .. certainly not the pigs !
Favourite moment for me still is being lucky enough to watch Pearson pick the league cup up at the old Wembley and that playoff final in Cardiff has to be the best atmosphere weve ever made although I wasn't there it just looked and sounded so different to any other game .

I went to the League cup final too and the Cup semi against the Blunts - both with my old man. Unfortunately missed the finals against Arsenal in 93 because I moved here with work in May of that year.

I was a season ticket holder on the north stand but my mate had to camp out for the tickets for basically all the these fixtures you and wash mention ..he had no work we gave him a few quid extra it worked out well ..but the league cup final and Facup final first fixture we had to pay through the nose for better seats.

The league cup final and Facup final replay against arsenal we managed to get the cheapest seats in the ground. Which obviously had it's downside !

Didn't go to Europe was my only regret as we was working away from home on big money with no time off ..

Germany suffered a surprise defeat to Slovakia last night. Though I seem to recall England struggling against Slovakia recently too?

N Ireland won their tie last night with Shea Charles scoring. We are desperately missing him this season and we'll never see him again in a Wednesday shirt.
Limpdick Pharrel took Pierce's place in goal.
