WBA Transfer Window - Final Day
Good balance with the 2 signings if they come off. One experienced pro who knows the Premier League and a younger, potential player to ease into the side. At 6"5, could be a potential long term replacement for McAuley?

My thoughts exactly Slick - not really breaking the bank for either player and I rate Ranocchia highly.

Let just hope these will be over the line sooner rather than later.

Wilshere would be a superb replacement for Fletcher too and would offer us much more going forward. Also hoping there's some truth to that speculation!

News Now suggesting we should try again for Ruddy Gestede .......... I say why?. As villas striker, they were relegated, moved to Boro, as their striker, they were relegated ....... Again I say why, why would we want him, he obviously does not score enough goals at this level and the defensive style of football we play how many would he score ....... not enough.

Let's put this rumour to bed once and for all.

Somehow I had missed that we paid an estimated €9 million for Yuning Zhang.

So we have paid €9 million (our sixth biggest signing fee) for a player who Transfer Markt rate at £595K. We sign him on a three year deal, we then loan him out for two of those three years.  I understand that he cannot get a work permit to play in the UK and is seen as a player for the future, but how is he a player for the future, for us anyway? If he blossoms into an amazing player he only has to wait a year and he can leave on a free. If he does not come good, we have spent €9 millionon a player currently not even rated at 600k. Anyone make any sense of that for me Huh Huh Huh

The South China Post have had a good go mind:
