To alleviate the boredom

Will you do us another one SGB, doesn't have to be that style, we'll trust you now that the case is coming up about cross-dressing in the library in order to panic-lend books? It was great!

Did you do the stupid ones I put up? Were they any good or just rubbish? Maybe they didn't make sense? I felt as though my brain had been temporarily been invaded by a whole new pattern of thought.

Hamlet and Macbeth aren't lugubrious - teachers are! I'd start anyone on The Tempest myself. I've seen several Shakespeares produced by Parachute - any student from early teens onwards would have been engaged. Spine-tingling. Snoots would have been hooked!

We now know Snoots has never read Tolkien or seen the films if he has never heard of a wraith.

It's taken me half an hour since knowing the answer to get Burton Albion.

I came up with my answers having glanced through what other people had done and I think I remembered some of Dancing's because I'm not sure how I ever got a couple of them right.  I'm shit at crosswords. It's about how your mind works though isn't it? I didn't even have to think about Raith Rovers.

Trouble is it is infectious. Don't you keep thinking of new ones of your own?

1. Aspires to space (German Football Team)
2. Well conditioned greeting (UK football team) ALLOA
3. Stupid answer separates day-star from earth. (UK football team)
4. Academic mixture of economists (UK Football team) HAMILTON ACADEMICALS
5. Maureen's bovine bike lamp (World football team)
6. Peripatetic beachcombers (UK football team)COVE RANGERS
7. Lactating meadows (UK football team) HUDDERSFIELD
8. Ruined church (UK football team) FALKIRK
9. Sounds gay; describes Brighton (UK football team) MAN CITY
10. Went through part way to bad breath. (UK football team) HALIFAX

Thank God it's lunchtime, Stop me. This is your fault Salts. I never used to think of this stuff. I'll be glad when I get back to the pornography.

Well that's a relief. At least they must have made some kind of strange sense …… and I wasn't just having a fugue!

Nobody got the first one. Snoots didn't have hope as he is not a Chesterfield fan, but aspires is a clue. European Space Agency? No? Twin town, no?

Darmstadt! And Number 4, I don't think Hamilton was an economist even though he was President. My answer was MKD - Milton Friedman, Maynard Keynes and Dons. But I might have to give you Hamilton. I enjoyed doing Huddersfield and Halifax but am now checking into the Priory, for observation!

Come on Salts now you've messed with my head you owe us another one!

Give me chance, Dev. My clapped-out old grey cells need time to grind into gear these days; I was a lot younger when I thought up the last lot.

I`ve still got a load of the quiz questions I used somewhere, but they`re not really any good here; there`s virtually nothing you can`t google in about 10 seconds flat these days.
