Lenny leaving Hibs!!?

I wouldn't give up on him hibeejim he is well respected by the fans and the board have hardly covered themselves in glory over some of their recent managerial appointments. I don't think we can afford Gordon Strachan so it might be a case of "better the devil you know" if we can appease the squad.

It certainly looks like a "pivotal moment" that may well define our season. Lets hope Hibs board members make a wise decision because IMO whoever poss follows Neil into the "hot seat" will be replacing a "class act"!

It's now officially over - a bromance with a love/hate figure. He will be sorely missed by the fans, but goes with my thanks and good wishes.

So Lenny and Gary Parker have indeed left Hibs and the club statement is intriguing - no offence committed, no misconduct!! So that leads me to assume there was a "fallout" and is it related to Hibs aspirations v Lenny's higher ambition???? I reckon that is exactly what this is about and I'll find out the truth eventually from close contacts within HFC. I wish them both well as they were good for Hibs!!!
The question is, "Who replaces Lenny" and can this person "hit the same level of commitment incl a very good record v Rangers and Celtic"? He knew how to set up v both Glesca clubs and that will be my "benchmark" for whoever is the next incumbent!

There`s something odd about Hibs statement on Lennon and Parker leaving the club, I find it impossible to understand how they will expect fans to believe there was "no misconduct & no offence committed" by either, they were not sacked or resigned their posts BUT they have left the club and we need a new management team. It conjures up a "did they jump or were they pushed" situation and maybe 0762 will throw some light on the whole sorry mess through his contact at HFC.
Tony Mowbray was mentioned as a possible replacement but it`s been proved numerous times that a return to a former managerial position seldom brings back the former level of success. We need someone in quickly while there is still a chance of a top 6 place.

I agree with that sentiment re the return of any previous manager. Wee Goggsy already saying he has retired while Stubbsy commenting on bbc Sportsound that he is interested - not for me TBH! Mixu also expressing an interest but not for me again! Stevie Clarke? Difficult with Killie's good season and they are his local footie team! I think Hibs will have a good look down south again as they've done it before! Stuart McCall's name crops up but again unsure re his managerial pedigree these days. IN LEEANN WE TRUST! She'll sort it!

I don`t fancy any of the ones mentioned 0762 so maybe looking down south would turn up a gem you never can tell.
I trust Leeann to do her best but worry that Rod is still hanging around like a bad smell.

If he had committed half of what folk are saying online Hibs would have sacked him outright and he would have got zero cash. If it had gone to court it would have cost the club a lot of money.

We say 'no offence committed' so he can get another job and he has probably written off a fair chunk of cash from his contract in return. A reasonable compromise I think.

At the end of the day I just think he got too invested in things, and put too much pressure on characters at the club and they couldnae handle it. I wish him all the very best though - all things considered he did pretty well for us.

As for Strachan, I'd love it but he's from a similar school to Lennon..... boots players up the hole if they aren't performing. Clearly some in our dressing room cannot take that kind of criticism.

I'd take Strachan on a negotiated short-term contract as he is also very good in bringing on young players but he has already intimated that he has retired from footie management. Who can blame him eh - hassle free!!

At least it was never boring under Lennon. Please not a Terry butcher/Colin calderwood type appointment.
