I think Alan Pardew is done and I wish him good luck for the future. Whoever takes over has 10 matches to start to plan for next season. I would love Marco Silva but I don't think it will happen. We'll probably end up with Big Dave until the end of the season and then Graham Potter takes over in the summer to lead the rebuild.

Totally agree Josh, I felt sorry for Pardew but neither the team or him have been up to the job. Let's start planning for next season with a change of manager (have not a clue who I want but maybe Lee Johnson!). Lets see some of the kids involved to see if they are up to the task.

Pardew has to be the least tactically astute manage that we have had at the club for some time. I thought Irvine was bad, but this guy really takes the cake.

How you can play a rigid 4-4-2 with Rondon and Rodriguez up front is beyond me. Neither can trap a long ball. Both excel at being played in behind yet we have nobody operating in between the lines - like Pritchard did for Huddersfield - to get into a position to slip them through.

Playing 4-5-1 with Phillips off 1 of the forwards and Burke on the wing would make us 10 times better. Unfortunately Pardew simply can't see the wood from the trees. Every sub is a 'like for like' change leaving us reliant on new personnel to improve the game, but no new strategy or thinking.

Have no idea why Brunt is always on the bench when he's shown on numerous occasions that he's the only midfielder who can play a penetrative pass. I understand playing McClean this week, because he run his balls off last week, but the guy simply isn't good enough. As for Barry, you get you deserve when you recruit a 36 year old to help a midfield that was drastically short on legs last season. Oh, happy 37th birthday Gaz Doh

Brunt should be picked in front of both of these. If we played 4-5-1, a central 3 of Krychowiak, Brunt and Phillips would actually have some semblance of balance. I think Phillips might actually chip in with a few goals if he was actually allowed to roam.

Oh well, the only positive is that Pardew will now be sacked. Clearly he isn't the man to rebuild this squad with his primitive thinking.

The thing is when your a manager wouldn't you have worked a few things out by now

Last three home games

Southampton lost 1-2 plays a 4-4-2 over run in midfield, Plays barry no legs

Southampton lost 1-2 plays a 4-4-2 over run in midfield, plays Barry no legs

Huddersfield lost 1-2 plays a 4-4-2 over run in midfield, plays Barry no legs

Any body see a pattern Doh

Oh Evans was crap today as well as Barry, And Rondon WTF !! Always offside, Mind you what hope when he and the 4ft6" Rodriquez are getting 50 Yard Balls bangedup to them Angry
Greg's worst game for me, nobody stood out,.... shambles

No way can I feel sorry for Pardew, he is a manager with a proven track record of failure, and has only gone to show that he has no redeeming qualities as a leader. He is spineless and does not command or earn respect from his players. Probably the only manager out there on a par with pulis.

"You're getting sacked in the morning," sing what's left of the Smethwick and the Brummie...

Sam Field plays superbly after Pulis’s departure. Is then bombed out of the side.
Barry rolls up at the team hotel at 6am pissed and in a stolen taxi, is then woeful vs Southampton
Today Barry starts while Field while Field watches on from the stands. What a joke Doh

The season is over.

No really fight. No sight of a win.

Manager is a nice guy. I was pleased when he was appointed but he has been ineffective.

If there is any chance if requires a managerial change immediately.

I expect to be relegated and look forward to a rebuild.

Amelia, you're too kind.
We deserve to go down. On paper we maybe don't have the worst team or squad but the table doesn't lie so it's our desire, our commitment, our coaching that IS the worst.
Glad to see you above the dotted line tho!

Knew we wouldn't win, I thought we'd get a draw though.
Honestly, I'd have preferred if we had kept Megson or even Pulis instead of employing this muppet - neither of them would have been as spineless as Pardew has been.

We need someone who's going to come in and not take any shit, even if it means upsetting the likes of Evans, Barry etc... They've done xxxx all for us this season anyway and are going to jump ship at the first chance they get.
