A lotta players and managers set the min buy out payment in a contract - it's part of the signing on process if the interested party is seriously interested - not the other way around. Also in some cases there is no buy out amount whatsoever - it's a gentleman's contract and does not restrict the manager's movement if he deems it necessary.

From what I've been told today hibs will receive around £120000 for Stubbs. I'd love O'Neil at Easter Rd but maybe a step to far with the Northern Irish job & contract just been sorted.

On the other hand I'd like to throw a name in the pot which I think would be a good move for Hibs & the manager Tommy Wright from St Johnston he has a proven record in the SPL he's won the scottish cup and had decent results in Europe with St Johnston. I think he's taken them as far as he can with the resources and financial backing but he could take hibs forward I feel with LD giving him the same backing she gave AS.

Thoughts anyone ?

Yep! Wright is a manager who I thought may be of interest to Hibs but I'm sure there was some recent talk of him poss heading south to an English footie club. Also he'd have to consider moving down to a Championship club although we've discovered there is not a great deal of difference between the Premiership and the top clubs in the Championship anyway, esp a club of Hibs size and potential!!

I like tommy wright but we wont be paying out big compensation to another club. It will be a free agent or a punt on a younger coach like Stubbs.
