I hate football. Honestly getting totally disillusioned by all the money and chasing after it. Wednesday will get to the prem and we'll never be in with a chance at the title. EVER. There's obviously exceptions (Southampton this year) but that will be a one off as the "big" teams will get worried and buy all their talent. Best we can ever hope for is FA cup and League cup runs.
Absolutely disgusting the way football is going.

You say that but in reality the big clubs have nearly always been the big clubs!! Only 23 teams have ever won the top division in England and if you say take it from the beginning of the 70s, then only 11 teams have won it!! Thats 11 teams in the last 45 years!! Also, in that list Derby, Leeds, Villa Forest and Blackburn would be considered almost one team wonders, never to repeat the feat that team did.
Since the early 60s, we have challenged for the title only twice, 1960-61 and 1991-92, aside from that our only hope of glory was a cup final or maybe european football. Nothing has really changed in that respect for nearly all the teams in English football. What is getting harder though is the ability to move up through the leagues and in particular that jump from the Championship to the Prem, and then staying there!! That is where the money difference really shows!! But it can still be done!!

It's wrong though. This £5.1bn will just sit in the Premier League. We're getting less of the stories of Giant Killings in the cups and the gap between divisions is growing by the season. If you ask the people of Spain, Italy, France why football in Engalnd is the best in the world they will tell you it is because our league system is competitive all the way down and on their day, anyone can beat anyone.
This money will be spunked away on a few shit players from abroad whilst we have teams in the lower reaches of our system going bust over debts that are equal to on third of a weeks wages in the Prem.
We're eroding what English football was all about and helping those at the top keep themselves at the top.

Lucrative business football clubs, not so much the sport side of it.
What I want to see at the end of the season is SG back down to coaching with a proven manager appointed, or a tech director to help.. Anything!!!

I agree the gap between the divisions is definitely growing in terms of money, but as long as its still 3 up and 3 down, teams will have the opportunity to go up, but it will be a bit harder.
As regards giant killings, what about Bradford last season and this season at Chelsea, the Blunts have beaten a few prem teams in the last couple of years, Wigan beating Man city last year etc etc,. They are still there. I think the reason why people like the prem is because at the start of the season there are 4-6 teams who could possibly win it, there is not other major European league where that occurs!! In Spain it Real and Barca, with one other team thrown into the mix every few years, in Germany its Bayern, in Italy it Juve or AC Milan, in France its PSG, in Scotland its Celtic and so on. The premier league may well be streets ahead of the Championship in terms of money but it is still the most open league in European football.
As I said yesterday, the top teams have always kept the top places for themselves with very few other teams breaking into it, they just now get even more money for it. I actually thing the Champions League does more damage to the game as the prize money for that is huge and sets the teams in it well apart from their domestic rivals who are not in it. This has been a problem for Spurs, Everton, Liverpool and even Man Utd in the last couple of years. Also, not that FFP has been brought in, having a super rich owner doesn't actually mean as much, but participation in the CL means a lot of revenue that only 4 teams can get, and year on year that perpetuates their participation each year!!

It does mean that sides relegated from the PL should get promoted again the following season if they are properly managed because they have a massive financial advantage over the remainder of the SBC sides. That is why this season was such a missed opportunity with the relegated sides doing so poorly.

Edit Reason: Doh
)
Only capitalism rewards failure to such a degree, 'Golden Parachutes' and many other ridiculous terminologies for giving vast sums of money to those that achieve & produce nothing!!
That really is silly money we're talking about, where's the incentive to really try? Once you've made it up to the PL, you're telling yourself it's not such a bad thing if you get relegated, yet not so long ago it was massive heartbreak for club and fan alike
There's almost as much money in football as there is in politics, and the two aren't far off becoming one and the same.

The key is to relegation is how you manage it.
If you manage it correctly, you can use it as a springboard to getting back in the PL but with a stronger team. Both Bolton & West Brom used the parachute payments to build a PL squad.
