Irvine and his future.

This is one of the top 50 jobs in world football, there are 7 billion people in the world, are you telling me we can't do any better than Alan Irvine?

If we get a new man in I hope its before the Gateshead game, a win there could breed some confidence.

Why would anyone want to give Irvine more time? Does anyone think he'll suddenly produce an exciting winning formula? His record and warnings from his other teams should tell us that's unlikely. He's outside his capabilities and that situation won't improve. We need someone to replace him before we run out of fixtures.

I could imaging TP being in the wings waiting. He would not want his first game in charge to be v Stoke.

Maybe this is the last game for AI and then regardless of result he gets removed the next day.

I know. Wishful thinking.

I want him to be given more time because he currently has us outside the relegation zone and 2 places higher than where we finished last season. This is with half of his squad made up of new signings, some of whom have been injured or playing catch up with fitness and match fitness. (Our better players I should add)

He has made mistakes and he has made questionable decisions which I have criticised him for but he has us near enough to where I expected us to be in this transitional season, one where staying up is the main priority and anything else is a bonus.

We sacked Clarke this time last season in the hope that we would move up the table, we went backwards. There is no guarantee that we would go upwards this time by sacking Irvine.

Unfortunately, Josh, I fear we're destined to carry on down with him. I think he's lost the plot if, indeed, he ever possessed it!

A win against Sjoke would put us on 20 points at the half way point of the season.Survival Form; A loss or draw would put in Relegation form. It`s a MUST win match against our bogey team. Bye Bye AFI. DD Thumb down Thumb down

Josh once again thanks for the personal attack Huh .....you don't need to ridicule peoples posts simply because you don't agree with them. Doh

I do know what a FACT is my friend, I am not a 4 yr old and as I said at the end of my post, 'this is just my opinion'. It is a FACT in my mind that if he stays we will definitely be relegated. It would appear a lot of others have the same opinion too.

FACT is you are in a very small group and the majority agree that he has to go. Also if you are going to comment on my posts, please read it all and have the decency to answer the question I asked at the end instead of avoiding it.. How long do you want to give him?

Have the courage of your convictions and give me a specific amount of time, not just game to game Huh,  that is what we have ALL  based 'our opinions' on over the past months. UNFORTUNATELY that game came and went weeks ago. He should never have been appointed in the first place and should be sacked. For all your knowledge and great posts I think I can safely say(maybe not as sure you will correct me) Smartass  you are Deluded with regards to the current situation, look that definition up. Whistle

PM me if you feel the need bud Thumb up

What personal attack? Please show where I personally attacked you. I haven't insulted you or personally attacked you. First you were offended by an exclamation mark and now you're offended by being told what a fact is when you showed the signs of not knowing what one is. If you do know what one is, you shouldn't have insinuated that your opinion is a fact.  "IF AI STAYS WE WILL DEFINATELY BE RELEGATED......FACT" is insinuating that your opinion is a fact. By all means state your opinion but don't add the word FACT at the end of it when you have no proof that shows it is a fact. Adding that it is just your opinion at the end of the post doesn't change anything.

I did read all of your post and I have answered your question. We shouldn't have a specific amount of time for Irvine to stay because in my opinion, it should be taken match by match. If you really want a specific amount of time then end of January at the earliest after he has some new players in.

Also you say that I personally attacked you when I haven't but then you call me deluded which is a personal attack. I'm not offended by it because I'm thick skinned but it is still a personal attack.

Peace and Love - the pressure of being an Albion fan is enough to send us all haywire.

If we win today AI will keep his job for another week, if we lose I think he will be relieved of his duties. My personal view is that we will win and AI will cling on and although I want 3 points I fear the longer he is in post the closer to the Championship abyss we will be.

When JP and the board wake up to this it will be too late. I agree AI should NEVER have been appointed. JP let us all down when he did this.
