The talking heads on the BEEB - MOTD in particular - all agreed he should get more protection yet totally ignored (as they didn't show it) the elbow in our lads face on the halfway line that 3 officials were all about 10 yards away from, but none of them admitted they saw it a couple of minutes earlier. We ended up with a player on the touchline and a free kick for something none of the blind mice apparently saw. The MOTD panel also pretty much dismissed Zaha's reaction in trying to break Hadergonads leg as acceptable, particulalry Ian "I was hot-headed too" Wright.

Nobody's mentioned Zaha spitting at Mooy yet. Didn't see it me sen but a lot around us were going on about it. Angry

Right, the Zaha hate has got a bit cringeworthy:
1. He didn't spit at anyone, he spat while 10 yards away form our wall in their general direction, might have looked bad but nothing in it otherwise the players would have gone mental
2. He didn't try to kill Flo - he was frustrated and went in late, no studs showing etc so a yellow was correct
3. A yellow was also correct for Zanka - he was sloppy and slow, Zaha got in front and then a genuine attempt to play the ball was late
4. I didn't see any elbow on the halfway line, but again muted reactions from the players would suggest there's nothing in it

Zaha is not likeable, but is class. He's arguable the best player outside the top 6 and showed why on Saturday, quiet but delivered the match winning moment. He does need more protection in my opinion. Because he's so quick and skillful he does get hit more than others, part and parcel of being a good player but he does take some nasty challenges from frustrated players - the one against Watford was a shocker, and will probably have been in his mind when he reacted to Zanka's. He could definitely help himself with his rolling around and protesting to the officials, mind you.

Nobody said anyone tried to kill anyone, not on here that I've seen anyway. Zaha's foot was shin to knee high when he went to block Hadhergonads' cross, doesn't matter where his studs were, he hung his foot in there and caught him deliberately.

The guy is getting pelters for being 2 faced and moaning about his treatment then giving the same back again and acting all Mr. Innocent. Must admit I was expecting the best diving competition between him and VLP since the Olympics before kick-off. Miraculously a game of football broke out instead.

I thought VLP did marvelously staying on his feet from some wild Palace lunges.
