What is he referring to here??

I think its because the fans aren't happy with the connection to Sheffield Wednesday.

You mean the connection to Mr Allen?  Not really aware of any other substantial connection aside from him??

Also we had Chris Turner at the club as well.

Wow, not sure any of that is an actual connection to SWFC, rather just people who used to be with us ending up in Chesterfield!! Add Danny Wilson, John Sheridan, COG, Ritchie Humpreys and Drew Talbot to that list as well, all have been with both clubs, just not sure that constitutes a "connection" between the clubs!! I am just a bit confused that he refers to the "Sheffield thing" as if it was the football clubs policy to recruit ex-SWFC personnel or something??

Sheridan brought in Talbot, Cook brought in Ritchie Humphreys after he left Hartlepool.

You seem offended Charles?

No not particularly offended, its just if he was referring to the recruitment of ex-Wednesday players and staff as one of the reasons for your demise in recent years, its really not a "Sheffield thing", its more of a "Chesterfield recruitment policy thing" isn't it?? It just seemed a strange statement with no substance and made with the insinuation that everyone knew what the "Sheffield thing" is or was!!

So sorry, guys.

Spoke too soon, Morecambe result went in your favour.

Only way we can stay up Amelia is if we score 12 goals in every game remaining and Morecambe lose all their remaining games.

"Whatever happens at this club, I'm sure they'll come back.
"I've been in the driving seat when it's gone down so whatever decision the club makes, we'll wait and see.
"It's just shocking. I'm so sad about it."

What does this mean "they'll"?

Does it matter Matt? Most of us are past caring.
There comes a point when you have to just accept the inevitability of it all and its not over yet. We will struggle next season and that's a fact. We could even go down again.
An owner that doesn't seem to care, a schizophrenic director who veers from Mr Nice to Mr Nasty, a manager who isn't good enough, players on long contracts who are just not worthy of the term footballers and a totally alienated fan base. Need I go any further?
This day has been a long time coming, the writing has been on the wall since they gave Caldwell and Branston this years budget. An attempt to get the fans on board with the appointment of Lester has backfired big style. He was the wrong appointment - fact. A few good results gave us all a glimmer of hope but then we reverted to our old ways. In the last 18months I witnessed some of the worst performances imaginable from my team, the team I support, the team I love. The fact I am sat here tonight totally non-plussed not ranting and raving after a few drinks says it all.
Chesterfield were in the Football League 150 years last year, how did our directors see fit to celebrate it? A black tie Gala Dinner at Chatsworth bloody house for directors and sponsors and anybody else with £100 to spare. For the rest of the fans - diddly squat, not even a friendly football fixture.
Well lets see how this season gets celebrated now. Next Saturday should be interesting.

Charles, the Sheffield connection reference is the fact that Carson, Allen and Turner are Dee Dahs as far as Chesterfield fans are concerned. They left Hillsborough in a cloud and just pushed it a few miles down the road onto our doorstep. The sooner we are rid of them the better.

I still care Dancing but its so xxxx hard, it feels like we are watching a car crash in slow motion, you know what's coming and its hard to get yourself prepared for it because I think the worse is yet to come. I think a lot of fans are still in shock over being relegated from the Football League and its going to be a while to come to terms with it.

The 150 years was Chesterfield's anniversary of it existing. We've been in the Football League for 97 years, didn't even make it to 100. I thought we were meant to be playing Rangers to celebrate the 150 years of existing? and there was talk of wearing a special kit as well.

I can honestly say I don’t remember Carson being at S6!! I certainly remember Allen and the problems he caused us before he landed with you. Allen isn’t a Dee dah, he is only all about himself, no one else matters to him!! And yes, the sooner you get rid of him the better, he almost destroyed us, he seems to be doing as good a job on you as well. Feel for you guys but football is a rollercoaster, you will be back in the league again even if it takes a few years!!
