It can be revealed that:

The four players stole the taxi from outside a McDonald’s restaurant in the early hours of Thursday morning
The quartet were out until 5.30am, breaking a midnight curfew imposed by head coach Alan Pardew earlier that day
Spanish police say they will be called to court to answer charges.
Pardew has now admitted he faces an uncertain future following the dismissal of chairman John Williams this week
Pardew was also robbed on Tuesday night, with thieves stealing his wallet and mobile phone

I have spent all my life loving football and wishing I could have been a player myself. Like so many of us we would have been so proud to be a professional footballer. Yet these arses are ruining their reputations and making my club look foolish - yet again.

We are surely doomed to relegation now and I just hope we can refresh things in the Championship and try to make changes throughout the club. It always seems that we fail to be that exciting club which other fans envy. Positive and attractive football with fans that are the envy of other clubs.

Once upon a time it was so.

So Evans and Barry are still selected despite their antics!!!

IMO they should still be in Spain under lock and key.

Obviously Mr Pardew is NOT a strict disciplinarian and players can damage the Club's reputation with impunity.

Poor decision by Pardew to play Barry and Evans. He needed to send a message not only to this team but to the future Albion teams!! Stealing the taxi is stupid, but breaking the curfew so blatantly is both unprofessional and goes against the team by undermining the manager in so many ways!! Poor from the players and now poor from the manager!!

The Manager had a curfew time at 12.15am, and he wasn't to know they would 'steal' a taxi. Find out who suggested it and drove the car - then sack them - not a good influence. Sounds like a bunch of mental kids to want to do that Doh

I certainly felt sorry for AP at first; for them to break a curfew set by him, especially in the position we're in, is unforgivable and, in many cases, WOULD end up as 'bringing the organisation into disrepute" and ultimately the sack.
For AP to then pick them in today's starting 11 is just as mind boggling. Sends out all the wrong messages, and it would seem to me to be almost intentionally giving his employer a reason to get rid.
Surely, if he'd not picked them, whatever the result of today's game, he would've been a winner? Stupid, stupid decision.
Pains me to say it, because I've always been pro AP, but after this I'd not be disappointed to see him go - although it would place us even further down in the way that we're perceived by football in general.
How low can we go?
