This is a classic example of why I so dislike Leeds United and their deluded fans.
They still hold the opinion they should be mentioned in the same breath as the Big 6 Premier Clubs and are a giant club.
Interestingly, they have spent less time in the top tiers of English football than we have - Prem and the old 1st Division.
Long may they stay in the Championship !

Ellando- fluck Monk now.
He had his chance to manage one of the Giants of english football.
He may manage a tinpot club in prem but he wont ever manage a club of our stature, History and tradition ever again.
Would put my house on it.

Who knows what went on behind the scenes with Monk but if he left us simply cos he's got another club lined up, then he's a tozzer.
This is a giant club - he'll never do better.

You wouldn't believe the vitriol I have had from a Leeds fan today. I'm sure it won't be the last. It's the downside of working in the Leeds area.

Why am I not at all surprised in the slightest Amelia !
Always remember, it's sour grapes and jealousy of 'Uddersfield being the number one team in Yorkshire and long may that continue.

Amelia, as baggieman has stated, jealousy from fans who think they are better and bigger than they are, they are not a giant club, a few good years in their history does not make them or give them a right to be top dogs. They are just the same as the Aston ( we won the European cup in 1980's ) vile, living in the past. Just remember "you are premier league, say you are premier league".

That's so funny that you say that because, after 10 minutes of trying to be nice to them, I did give them a chant of "we are premier league, say, we are premier league". It's very unlike me to gloat when we're winning but I was sick of listening to it!

Baggieman, I think you'd be hard pushed to find a club of such colossal under achievement as Leeds. It has the benefit of a strong - if obnoxious- fan base and the advantage of being a one club city yet, for all that, it continually comes up short. At least that other MASSIVE club, the Vile, has spent recent years in the PL, for Leeds this is becoming a fading memory with no change in sight.
Amelia, delighted that the Terriers have been promoted. I went to the FA Cup 3rd round match there a few years ago and thought it was a terrific set up (it helped that we won ?). Also, great to have another team of blue and white stripes in the league.
