Can't even beat a League One side in open play, no disrespect meant to Port Vale but its embarrassing, have to stay indoors tomorrow now
Playing for a slot against Norwich away

We scrape through on penalties, for the second year in a row. A trip to Carrow Road awaits.

Lol, all I can say is I hope the window ends how Pulis wants. Or this could be a very long season...
Well done to the penalty takers, shame Rondon has never been a prolific penalty taker as either today or the weekend would have been ideal to get him off the mark. ![]()

Oxford at home and Vale at home have both gone to penalties two years running. Both games at home and we played strong teams in both games... If this doesn't show that we need more in then nothing will!
Come on Albion ffs

Bottom of the league and likely to be bottom for some time. Can't score a goal against a Division 3 team and unable to beat them in open play.
Whilst I was by no means an Irving fan, are we any better than 1 year ago under this anti-Christ of football? Has the Pulis bubble well and truly burst? Will he be axed unless things pick up dramatically as with the standard of performances so far, we are heading into the CCC quicker than we were with Irvine.

Port Vale Are a better team than Oxford on paper. Don't write rondon or the team off yet we had a threat on Sunday and the two games were very close together. Rondon probably just needs that first goal. Obviously none of this excuses the pathetic feat of failing to score in 2 hours against a team in league 1 but at least we're still in and no one missed a penalty today. The injuries especially brunt are a worry but it could mean we hang on to lescott. Onwards and upwards to Stoke on Saturday and Norwich in the next round.

Bloody hell 'watching' the game via twitter is a depressing thing. So many arsewipes ranting about the club, slagging off players and Pulis. Easy targets from the safety of their mobiles but totally destructive and pointless. I just hate this level of negativity shown on media like that.
We never have had it easy across 5 decades of watching the Albion. Moments of wonder is all we have had. Solidarity is key and building up momentum. We need one or two players and we need a positive attitude in the cub (and no fan pressure) for these players to gel. It's a long season and one win at the weekend would take us to mid table or higher - it's far too early to start the mutiny!

I don't understand the argument that this game proves we need more players in. That was a near full-strength team (and bench) full of players with years of Premier League and international experience.
