Anybody know how the bonuses are geared (eg £5k per point, or individual match bonuses for beating Chelsea, etc)

Pretty sure our highest earners will be approaching £50k per week now (Lescott, Fletcher, Foster). Majority of last seasons "first teamers" and the more high-profile new signings (Mulumbu, Yacob, Morrison, Olsson, Gardner etc.) will be on £30-40k. Then the squad players and new signings from abroad will be on anything from £10-30k, with Saido reportedly on £16k (but it will be north of £40k if he signs a new contract).

Then there are bonuses for final league position, its about £1.5m for each position and I read somewhere that JP shares it throughout the squad as an incentive to get as high up as possible. Obviously there will be goal bonuses, clean sheet bonuses and maybe point bonuses as well, no idea on the sort of figures though as they are never talked about when players sign contracts.

I would pay them on performance........

Win...... Full pay.
Draw.... Half pay.
Lose..... Dole rate.

I believe Lescott is our highest earner on around £35k per week basic. No idea about bonuses though

Absolutely no way Lescott is on £35k a week. If that is what our highest earners are on then our £70m annual wage bill doesn't add up at all, unless we are paying the tea ladies £200k a week...

I reckon Dave Whelan is going to buy the club, he is moving the Wigan team to West Bromwich one player at a time. My guess is that Fortune will be the next one through the door Big Grin

The transfer window is officially open on 1st July (Wednesday). I presume the take over slides another year. If TP delivers a top 10 finish and cup run then we'll be all the more expensive to buy

Nope. Me as well. It would only end in tears.
As I have posted before. I don't believe that we are a 'big' enough 'play thing' for a mega-rich new owner and part of the problem for JP is that we are already run far too well.

There's very little 'real' money to be made out of WBA.
