Poor first half, much better second half, probably a fair result in the end. Charles did well in goal, no issues with the goal and flapped a couple of times but he is more mobile than Beadle.

Charles needs this run so we can bed him down easy in the ore season ..I don't want beadle back and I doubt Brighton will loan him out again to us anyway !
We should offer Charles a better contract with a realise Claus that suits the club when the big guns come knocking !

Leeds are doing their usual wobble and bottle in the final furlong.

It's true that Beadle is unlikely to return to us a third time. I think we need a better keeper to be honest. Charles is definitely a decent young keeper he's just so short though!
Unfortunately, our scouting/recruitment is consistently poor. Worse than poor..

My god did you see Leeds keeper he has to be the worst in the league yet they are still top ...he's complete and utter doghshit and actually makes Dawson look good ! Then there's westwood at West Brom.! Nope what we need is a defense and Charles will be 20% better making him within the top 3 keepers in the league.

Meslier whatever his name is has made ridiculous errors this season. They've stuck with him hoping he gets through it but you know he isn't going to be their first choice next season.
Dawson was leaking goals in the pub league yesterday.

A solid defence is something we've not seen at Wednesday in decades. Ideally a new defence would be perfect. However, this is Wednesday and Big Tuna is more likely to buy one keeper than he is to buy four good defenders. One good defender stuck in the middle of three other clowns is just going to feel helpless.
Partly why we go in circles, like rowing with one oar.

Disagree about not having a solid defence for decades, we had a very solid defence in 2022-23 season when we got promoted under Darren Moore, conceded less than one goal per game. We also had less than one goal per game in our two playoff seasons under Carlos. A solid defence is key to a successful season, we don't have that this season partly due to quality and partly due to our starting back 4 all currently being injured.

I say this in blind hope but whoever runs this club next season even with millions pumped into buying players we are going to be another 3 transfer windows away from a decent championship team. So many players most of whom aren't good enough either are out of contract and then there's the massive holes we need to fill basically down the spine of the team.
Even if Danny stays with new ownership we have hit that brick wall on the roundabout again thanks to zipperhead !!!

I would take 3 seasons of 10th-15th place if we can get an new owner with an actual plan that a decent manager can implement!!! We are currently a decent Championship team, partly because we have some very good players and partly because we have a very good manager. A new owner would allow us to keep the good players and let the others go while trying at least to replace them with someone better.

Poor old Preston have been put to the sword in the space of 10 minutes villa score 3
Although I hate clubs like Bournemouth it would be more interesting if they can dump man city out of the cup so we get a final maybe fans might want to watch for a change !

To add plus maddix is the only one left running in the predictions with city ....spit lol !!!

We'll be okay in the Championship it's just difficult to see where any forward progress is going to come from, both on and off the pitch.
Next season will very likely be similar to this one.
It's baby steps which isn't enough to survive anymore.

We can only dream of new ownership. Chansiri really brought us full circle.
