Crewe Alexandra forward Shilow Tracey has signed a one-year contract with the League Two club.

The 27-year-old's deal contains the option of a further 12 months.

Tracey has scored nine goals in 86 appearances since joining the Alex in 2023, although he has not played since breaking his leg in March.

Former Tottenham youngster Tracey told the club website:, external "I'm happy it's sorted and now I can just focus on my rehabilitation and get back to where I left off.

"I was doing my best, working hard for the team and playing in a position I hadn't played in a lot, but I'd adapted well and I was really enjoying it.

"It's been tough, but I'm at a stage where I'm very happy with how everything is going.

"I'm here for at least another year and I'm pleased that I've got this opportunity.

"It feels like there is unfinished business. We believe in ourselves as a team and I definitely believe in myself."

Manager Lee Bell added: "We all know what Shilow is capable of - he's a huge asset to the team - so I'm looking forward to having him back on the pitch when that is possible."

Tracey is the third Crewe player to agree a new deal ahead of the new season after midfielder Owen Lunt and defender Charlie Finney.
