I think the small print allows the club to reassign season ticket holders to available seats elsewhere in the ground. Hopefully though those that used credit cards to buy can request refunds from their CC company who in turn would go after Despot for the money they just refunded and thus put more pressure on him.

Its a double edged sword with this tyrant. It'd be great for the fans to push for refunds through their CC companies.. Unfortunately, he'd just sell any remaining assets to pay it
