Well we did it again.
Signed no LEADER.
Expecting the same shoulder shrugging, ambling performance's again.
Shocked Carlos has not addressed this.
My support for Carlos is now questionable.
His in game management is piss poor at times. I often wonder about his substitutions.
The recruitment dept are utterly useless.

Isn't it amazing how in 5-6 short years you can go from being 'Pride of the Midlands' to the 'Laughing Stock of the Midlands'. Villa and the Dingles were down in the Championship along with Blues, while Coventry were down in League One, now of all those only Coventry are below us and that only by one point. Even Coventry have brought in 12 new signings, 7 permanent the rest on loan, spending spending 30 million Euro, really depressing when you look at it like that.

Can’t argue with any of that, Salop. You’re absolutely right

I suppose deadline day went as well as it could, all things considered...
No sales and a right back in. Which for me has been priority position for 4 years.
Obviously we needed other positions too, namely centre half IMO. But we know we're absolutely skint and honestly I was expecting at least 1 to be sold and not replaced.
When I saw we'd signed a right back from the crazy forest (Ludogorets) I thought our "scouting department" had finally returned. Upon further inspection it's the same player Corberan had singed twice before. Being honest, I always think it's a bit of a cop out when managers keep signing the same player over and over again. But hopefully that means he's straight into the starting XI.

With new players off the agenda and promotion a distant dream, the reality is a mid-table safe position is IMO a reasonable objective. With the likes of Bartley, Phillips, Furlong, Townsend, Kelly, Pieters contracts all running down. We must begin to bring the Academy lads through. The rebuilding must become the norm. I have seen very little evidence of this happening. Our youth are not good enough for us but other clubs are littered with our so called failures. Granted none world beaters but they are worthy of a place in our opposition teams.
With multiple substitutes now part of the game Carlos needs to look at the bigger picture and stop bringing the so called seasoned professionals on from the bench A youngster should be coming on for the last 20 minutes.
Carlos and his team are IMO are being more reactive then proactive.
For the future this is more important then kidding themselves were fighting for promotion.
The likes of Ingram and Taylor should be getting game time with us now..

Free Agents could be considered. CC says so and so a little glimmer of hope for additional players remains.
I am beginning to think an outside chance of the play-offs is not lunacy

So it begins - rumours of possible takeovers, risk of fire sale of players without new money.

Only gossip I'm reading is who we may be subject of bids. Next week sees agents lining up interested parties with offers on the table.
Asante - Fellows - Grady - Palmer - Griffiths are all in the shop window.
Guessing another £10 million is needed to break even. If new owners aren't going to give us a handout players will have to be sold.

Thanks for taking the trouble to keep it up to date, Stairs. Always interesting, though a tad nerve-wracking when you look at some of the contracts.
Diangana played for DRC last week, I think - your international section is stuck in the golden age.
