Yep the prima donna can leave.
We're looking thinner than last season now, the loans have returned to their parent clubs. We've released a couple and signed Fletcher.
There's no way this wafer thin squad is touching promotion, I still thoroughly believe the current squad over-achieved last season, to think we'll walk in into the top 6 this season, with the likes of Villa & Newcastle is delusional.
We need players, pronto. Improvements on current players and LB & RB both need quality cover/competition.
Should have signed Sasso , so now we need at least a CB on top of a LB & RB. We need Wingers or R/L Midfielders that can cross a ball, depending on our formation. Alex Lopez was told by Celta he can leave.
13 days to KO.

Cannot rate any team below us that is likely to pass us this season. I think we now have the edge on Brighton & Derby, which leaves us likely for the Playoffs. What we need is to improve enough to finish ahead of two of Newcastle, Norwich & Villa.

Would think that negotiations on Pudil are still going on in the background and personally I would have Sasso and Lopez back since they already know the squad and how CC wants to play.
I guess having Melo back is like a new signing too but hopefully some business will be done this week once they return from Portugal.
Anyone think the special one might loan CC a few manure players?

I hope you're right, MS.
I know there's a few weeks left in the market it is just disappointing to see that we either hadn't lined up any targets, or are leaving it late to recruit.
Which again means CC can't know his best team & formation until all the players are at the Club. How many weeks in to the season could we be before he does?
After last season I'd hoped to start out of the gates fully prepared.

MS, what makes you think we have the edge on Brighton and Derby ? I actually think the other way. We may have bet Brighton but they finished nearly what 10+ points ahead of us and Derby will be formidable as ever now with Pearson in charge. As for Ipswich, Cardiff, Brentford....Bristol they will be all around us as that is the pack we are in where it's all about stringing winning runs together. We also have a tricky start which can go either way....
Wouldn't mind Jannussi or whatever way his name is spelt from manure. would add pace....

The Celta Vigo boss has said Lopez can go.

Just about all the points we ended up behind Derby & Brighton were down to what we lost to them in the opening seven matches.
Brighton don't appear to have the finances to push on and Derby just spin the revolving door that is the manager's chair every few months and I don't see Pearson as a step up, more a step back in my view.
Cannot see Ipswich or Brentford moving forward. Cardiff might but Bristol have a lot of catching up to do although I see them as the most likely improvers for next season.
