However, the FA have today confirmed that Nicky Cowley will be charged due to the language he used towards the Forest bench.

An FA statement read:  "Huddersfield Town FC Assistant Manager Nicky Cowley has been charged with being in breach of FA Rule E3 following their fixture against Nottingham Forest FC on Saturday 21 December 2019.

"It is alleged that, following the conclusion of the fixture, he used abusive and/or insulting words towards a member of the Nottingham Forest FC coaching staff.

"It is further alleged that this breach of Rule E3(1) is an “Aggravated Breach”, as defined in Rule E3(2), as the participant made reference to nationality. He has until 17 March 2020 to respond."

BREAKING: The FA have withdrawn it's charge against #HTAFC assistant manager Nicky Cowley. It was alleged he had used abusive words, that made reference to nationality, towards a Nottingham Forest coach during their win in Dec. 2019 - something he has always denied.

A statement from Town said: "Nicky strenuously denied the charge immediately and, with the full support of the Club and Nick De Marco QC, video evidence was found of the alleged incident clearly showing that Nicky made no reference to nationality. This was immediately submitted to the FA.
