That's just the point salop he didn't say much waved his hand under his nose and in front of his face,
Videos on Twitter show him talking because the Brighton player ran to the ref , when he appeared to ask what's going on ........

The thing is we all know how this will finish. JRod will be now tainted with this for ever whether guilty or not.

Don’t get me wrong Racism is unacceptable but when you flippantly indicate someone has bad breath and you end up in the Worldwide media being accused of being a Racist, that is devastating for Jay.

If they get lip readers in and he did say it then he deserves it but I honestly don’t think he would or did say what Bong is alleging.

The FA won’t have the balls to do anything to Bong if Jay is proved innocent. Why? Because then someone would accuse them of being racist. Whatever happens Jay is going to lose and it’s not right.

When allegations like this are made, common sense and fairness go out of the window.

Either one of Jay or Bong is a liar.

I disagree Worldclass, if it can be 'proved' Bong lied then the FA would have no choice but to throw the book at him. If for no other reason than to show people that you cannot throw claims of racism.

The ridiculous thing is Bong cant and wont get charged, its easy to work out what was said and so you can get the facts but all Bong has to say is that 'I thought I heard him say……' what was actually said makes no difference its just how its interpreted, which no-one can prove.

Obviously the whole allegation is ridiculous, the FA should never charge anyone like this unless they have the facts! Like people have said its easy to go back and view the incident and see what was said. I mean, we've all seen the incident.

The FA here are hanging J-Rod out to dry and are clearly just taking the easy option, rather than do any work; just charge him, make out they wont tolerate racism and let others deal with the situation. It just screams of a publicity stunt with no regard for the players or the club. I wouldn't be surprised if J-Rod's form dips again now and we go down.

But Salop you can throw these allegations around with impunity, there are many cards that have been created by pink and fluffy groups that get brandished without the need of evidence and if you challenge the use of such cards your branded racist, sexist, homophobic etc etc ....... I worked for the government, you could be having a private long standing joke with a lifelong friend no malice no insult no offence given or taken but somebody eavedrops and is offending on their behalf and you get sacked. Did not happen to me but I have seen it happen .....

Prime example .... Prime minister Gordon Brown ...... I know what's best for you, I will tell what is right and wrong, I will buddy up deeper with europe, etc etc. If you challenge what I say your racist, your a bigot.

Universities blocking free speech and debate because it may offend somebody .....

These governing bodies have their own agendas and do what they please ..... they make up the rules as they go and enforce them accordingly.

Well said 4eva. People/groups /individuals are determined to 'be offended' these days.
Society is getting truly and pathetically ridiculous......and if you've got another, or different, point of view, you're deemed to be some sort of monster.

Sorry if I've offended anyone Doh

To be fair to Mr Bong, it’s easy to see how Rodriguez saying “excuse me sir, but you do appear to be suffering from a dreadful case of halitosis” could have been misheard as “ you stink, you ##•• ##%#%”.

4Eva as you know I still work for the government and like you I have seen these allegations made over nothing, I have also seen the investigations when they are deemed necessary.

Salop, if there are 100 people in a room and you said something to me of a certain nature, 99 of us may think nothing of it but that ONE person who deems it either racist, homophobic, transphobic, ageist, sexist or anything similar complains and that's it.

You are tarred with that brush ever after. I have seen and heard someone say to a person, 'I'm going to say you called me a ...........' and get you the sack. I actually had it said to me. Luckily it was on film. I wanted to pursue this but was told 'Its not in the public interest'. Trust me it Happens and when it does its horrendous.

Its the easiest thing on the planet at the moment to report someone for some kind of incorrect PC comments, whether they said them or not and they will be pursued with the utmost eagerness so someone can say I did this person for this and that just to get a promotion whether that person is guilty or not.

PC has gone mad especially in this case because I don't think for one minute JRod made the comments levelled against him. If he did then he's stupid but his reaction says it all to me when he hears Bong talking to the Ref.

If JRod is cleared of this The FA will state Bongs command of English isn't great and it was a misunderstanding or similar.

Lets hope its sorted asap so he can concentrate o playing football.

I give up.
Is there an actual Law that prohibits someone calling somebody else "Fatso"? or "Ginger"? Are kilts and Irish jokes still ok? (Some Irish comedians would be out of work if that were so). I know sombreros were banned from a Students' carnival because one Mexican "snowflake" in Guadalajara was "offended".
"Snowflakes" with halitosis are really enjoying themselves, feeling superior to the common man. Strip Shows are closing down, because the strippers are offended, and ventriloquist dummies are banned by one midget snowflake.

I don't mind any of the above at all, but I just wish I knew, in case I upset some "Dingle" who doesn't like me taking the piss.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Which is, of course, a genuine possibility. A lot of people on here seem very eager to assume the worst possible motive on Bong's part, based on no evidence that I can see. If he had a longstanding feud with Rodriguez or a lengthy history of crying wolf on stuff like this then I'd be suspicious, but I don't think he does. So yeah, he may well just have misheard.
